5% Quidco too
I can strongly recommend these. I used a 3 pack in my old house and the coverage and speeds were excellent. This was using my virgin hub 3 Wi-Fi the Wi-Fi turned off.
Bargain, nice find!
Nice price, personally I'm waiting to try and get the larger ones again as I keep missing them
Great deal - have had 3 of these for a couple of years and they work really well
Great Deal I’ve had these a while now and makes such a difference!
Are these gigabit? Any good for my 219mb Virgin Fibre?

Are these gigabit? Any good for my 219mb Virgin Fibre?

I don't think they are. I just received the refurbished WHW units that were posted last week. They have gigabit Ethernet. I have a 100MB connection. Full coverage all over the house with speeds no less than 95Mbps. Got 6 units all over including the garden shed. 6 units are probably over kill but would have needed 4 and the price was better to get two sets of three units. Very happy with my purchase.

Think you need the bigger ones from BT which get better reviews.
Can you split these?

for example use two units for my house
and two units for my parents?

3 WHW units or 4 of these? Need coverage rather than speed

Heard the larger ones have better coverage, but considering this is 4 nodes, coverage might be equal.

I have two of the WHW on it's way.
The Mini WHW has 1x gigabit Ethernet on each disc.

866Mbps for 5GHz Wi-Fi and 300Mbps for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

These will work perfectly fine with a Virgin line.

Yes in the theory you could, but with just 2 discs you wouldn’t really gain much increase in coverage as the 1st disc has to be connected by Ethernet to the router.
Been looking at improving the WiFi and getting access to our outhouse.
Tried the WiFi extenders but seem hit and miss so going with this.

Fingers crossed but the reviews look excellent
moislam7917/04/2020 16:06

Close but not gigabit

The Netgear Orbi Pro is probably what you're after, better suited for your needs.

You would be surprised. The one connected to my router improved the signal all over. Second one placed on landing obviously improved it further. But it was definitely better even with one.

Sorry how far is the disc from your home to garden shed? I have an office in the garden 5 metres away. Wondering if signal travels that far from discs
Cam this work with three Alcube 4g Internet? Thanks
I have the bigger ones and get my full 250 mbps speed over wi-fi on virgin
Could I buy this 4 pack and then give 2 away to a family member? Does it work like that or do I have to keep the 3 pack together?
Are these discs the same as wifi mesh devices?
Sounds like the 3 seashells lol.
Purchased. My lad’s had glitching on Fortnite as the PS4 is in the garage conversion. This will help no-end. 4% Cashback with Quidco

Yes, this is a mesh system
I have these. I find the range of the mini disks quite poor.

I have one in a shed around 15m from a disc in the house. I can get WiFi without the disc but it is far better with, especially on a small device with limited space for an antenna.

With 4 discs they will be better if you can get ethernet to at least two of them as the more hops the signal has to do the lower the speed and higher the latency.

I have 3 on ethernet + shed on wireless and have full BT speed everywhere house and garden on my phone ~76Mbps

Firmware is much more stable now , must be 6 months since the last reboot. When I first had the ~ 3 years ago they used to drop out a lot so many reviews are no longer applicable.

At the price, these are a great deal.

Yes, each disc is unique and identical so can be a master.
Anyone have any experience in using these abroad? My country doesn’t have any of these solutions so the only option is to buy in UK and ship it there. Thanks all!

From a few Amazon review it states only the main disc connected to the router can be connected via Ethernet. If any others are connected it goes in to set up mode.

Did you have this issue? I'm in the same boat here where I want to bring WiFi into the garden shed/office at the bottom of the garden and I'm happy to run an Ethernet to connect to disc within the shed to help improve the WiFi (only if this can be done). Just to note I will obviously want to connect the mian disc within my house internal via ethernet, this would be classed a second hardwired disc.

Considering there are multiple reviews saying the opposite I am intrigued as to why you have this experience. Could you define poor - i.e distance. Is it your set up/house struture or something else that gives you a poor result?

I ask as I have been debating for a long time the right system for me. I live in an old 3 storey property with large distances between rooms and floors (long winding corridoors) and no cavity walls - all solid brick. I fear I will be disappointed with these.

Anyone else using these in larger properties with solid walls and have them spaced large distances apart?

I've got these in a 5 bed three story house. I bought them thinking they were the same as my neighbours which work really well. Turns out the ones he's got are the bigger ones. He's got one on each floor and an extra in the kitchen and they work brilliantly. My house is identical in layout so have positioned mine the same way but still get dead spots. I've played around with the spacing to try and improve it but still not prefect. Even with four I can't cover the whole of the house. I'm planning to get a set of the bigger discs as I know they'll give me full coverage where these didn't. I've also heard the Tenda Nova MW6 are much better than the bt mini discs so might try them if I can't find a good price for the full size bt ones.

Shed is about 20-25 meters away from the main node. It can connect from there directly to the main node but with a weak connection so I’ve got another halfway in the kitchen and it’s a good connection on each disc

Yes
I bought the whole home WiFi for quicker speed couple weeks ago for the WiFi compared to my Asus ac66 router with my superhub in modem mode. Now use the whole WiFi with the virgin superhub as a router only and its so oooo much better even get a strong signal in the garden now too. I bought 2 discs for a semi detached home does the job nice.

Sounds like my experience also. They aren't terrible, but definitely not as powerful range as the bigger but a lot more expensive ones.
