Normally BT Mobile SIMs don't offer great value for those who don't already have BT Broadband, but in this case - with a £3 discount offer - they seem to be breaking the status quo, and of course it's even better value if you do have BT Broadband.

BREAKDOWN: BT BROADBAND CUSTOMERS
- £12 per month - 12 month contract
- Choice of £90 iTunes or Amazon voucher
The bill is £144 per year, but treating the voucher as a cash discount makes it effectively £4.50 per month.

BREAKDOWN: NON-BT BROADBAND CUSTOMERS
- £17 per month - 12 month contract
- Choice of £90 iTunes or Amazon voucher
The bill is £204 per year, but treating the voucher as a cash discount makes it effectively £9.50 per month, which is still very competitive.

Oooh, nice! The 2Gb one works out at £3 a month, which is a triumph, and way more than my current payg data use, but I can't be sure I'd not get above 2Gb once I let the brakes off!

Just ordered, thx

Very tempted. Thanks OP

And cashback on top? or not

If you mean TopCashback no I tried quidco last time that was a no also

This is a really good price . However I'm currently with bt mobile and the reception I get ( in the north west) is awful compared with O2 . Think Bt own the EE network and personally when my contract elapses I wouldn't use Bt mobile again.

No.

Does it matter if you stop being a BT customer, once you've started this contract?

I have wondered this. I think it safe to say not. I doubt there is any cross referencing after the initial acceptance.

If you can wait, wait. Two weeks ago it was 20gb for 16 plus the £100 Amazon/ iTunes - it will comes around again

I ordered the BT Infinity yesterday (£200 mastercard and quidco) and now want to take the BT Mobile, but its asking for my Account Number, which I dont yet have, so I am hoping you are right

If you stop taking BB, landline with BT you'll lose the £5 discount they give you, 30 days after the cessation of BB, landline. You still keep the 12 month mobile contract, just becomes more expensive.

I only have 3gb and have to keep a close eye on usage every month now.
Only able to use light browsing and the like, watching any videos is well out of the question.
Wasn't too bad when 4g wasn't so available but last few months has been a nuisance.
Cannot wait until July for renewal.

you know you can switch tariff at anytime you want right?

I already have a BT Mobile sim, if I get a second sim / new contract (not Family SIM), will I be able to claim the £90 reward?
The T&Cs says offer is for new customers, purchasing a new 12 months contract counts as new customer?

If you don't want the Amazon / iTunes voucher you can flog them online at a cost of c 12%

Hi applied for the same infinity deal yesterday too £100 cashback plus £200 mastercard. If you install the BT app to your mobile phone and type in your BT ID (the email address you signed up with) along with the password you created at time of signing - It will show you your BT account number so you can apply for this mobile deal.

I disagree. I'm also in the Northwest and bt seem better than o2. The 4g speed is constant also with bt. If the signal is 2 bars, I get 30mbps+, same as if it was full signal.

You also get free access to bt sports mobile app with any 6gb+ contract.

Thank you so much for taking time to reply. I have just done this but it says "sorry, we are unable to log you in as there is no account linked to this BT ID"

The man on chat did say you get bt sport app free with 6gb.

Good deal if you have just signed up to broadband to bring it in line with that contract. Otherwise not great as it's gonna cost more. Unless they increase price of bb then i don't know if you could leave the mobile contract aswell as they go hand in hand?

No.

I don't see why you cant get cashback. There is no coupon code on this - its their standard deal.
Worth trying if you are buying - as nothing to lose. Just don't base your purchase on cashback.

Yes as long as you don't get a family sim you can get rewards for each contract you take out

Can i keep my old number on this?

I'm like YEA !!!

No decent data roaming packages available, crap for anyone spending holidays in Europe.

Has anyone who already has a BT sim tried to get this deal? Just wondered if we would still get the gift card and keep our original number. Online chat not working for me.

Even if you have the higher price, at effectively £9.50pm it's still pretty competitive.
For example, yesterday the £8.50 Plusnet deal was the hottest deal of the day, and it only had 3.5GB data, although admittedly it's a rolling contract.
At £9, Three only only give 4GB data.

So as a non-BT customer currently... I can see a BT hotspot from my house. I would get access to this BT hotspot as part of the deal. But... Do I get a password so I can use my tablet on the WIFI also? Or would it only be my phone that can connect?

Both Topcashback and Quidco state in their T&Cs that the cashback and voucher deals cannot be combined on BT Mobile. However, in message #18 of the thread linked to by pablomalin9, somebody found a method that worked for them.

Good news. From 1 June you can use your data, calls and text allowance in Spain,
France, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and
many more countries.

In fact, over 40 destinations abroad are included in the new ‘roam like home’ initiative.

How it works

Next time you’re in one of those countries, you’ll get a text to say you’re roaming.
Then you just use your phone as normal.

Don’t forget, anything you do use while you’re away counts towards your data, minutes and text allowance. So if you go over it, you’ll need to pay the below charges.

You just download the btwifi app and input your BT username and password and it automatically connects to all BT hotspots when in range.

Got something similar a few months back but also got the £60 quidco cashback to track so have 15gb, unlimited texts and calls for £4.33 a month X)

Please be aware of BT's mobile ridiculous fees for calls outside the UK (non UK numbers). Almost £1/min !?! That was the only reason I have switcched to iD.

BT are a joke, i signed up to a £19 a month plan with a £50 amazon voucher which they refused to give me!!!!
