BT Mobile SIMO 3Gb, 500 mins, unlimited texts 12 months only £10 per month

BT are offering 3GB instead of 2GB data. 500 mins, unlimited texts. You can also watch exclusive live Barclays Premier league matches on BT Sport lite - free on the BT sport app. Deal on until 22nd December

Just another point that I didn't see mentioned in the title. You also get unlimited use of BT WiFi. I've found their network to be vast compared to other Wifi when out and about, so this may make the deal a little more enticing.

Can anyone get this deal or is it an offer price for BT customers only?

Original Poster

I'm a BT customer, it looks like it is £15 for non BT customers

BT customers only...

BT customers only, by the looks of things. I couldn't even get BT if wanted it (I live near Hull) so this package costs £15 per month.

Sounds good plus I've had enough of O2'

Thanks for posting

£40 quidco at the moment as well.

ID have 500 mins, 5000 texts and 4GB data for £10pm too - better deal I think

I feel your pain... damn kc... paying £35-£40 per month for 2 Meg broadband because there are no alternatives

3G? What is this 1985?

BT mobile doesn't allow you to tether. So no using the data on your PC. boooo

What is bt service like?

What network do BT use? O2?

EE network

EE

Not suprising it's the EE network as they were trying to buy EE for 12.5BN. Mobile data seems fine. Being tied into BT other services is normally costly. After the discounted first year you usually pay over the price.

Incorrect. I am on BT Mobile and I tether constantly, never had a problem.

Any way to move my existing number over to this deal? I'm on o2 payg

I found the answer.
Not a problem! All you need to keep your number is a PAC code from your old mobile provider. A PAC code is 9-character code like "ABC123456", that allows us to transfer your number from your old provider to BT. Once you've activated your SIM you can give us your PAC code and the transfer usually takes 24 hours. We'll keep in touch with you to let you know what's happening.

Would not go back to BT even if they paid me £10/month! TERRIBLE services run by total scammers.

Voted cold purely for the fact that Virgin Mobile have a tariff for the same price that offers qgb data but 5 x as many minutes which include 0845 and 0870 numbers and is only on a 30 day rolling contract.

Considering the amount of free public wifi, the speed of peoples home wifi and the fact that a lot of people have wifi at work, I'd have to disagree.

Based on that, the 3GB per month would last you about 3 weeks, which contradicts your strangely loyal defence of this deal.

I wasn't defending this deal, I was commenting on you not comparing like for like and "1gb lasts about a week" is just over a week. 3gb would stretch out to 4.

about a week could also be 5/6 days. I voted cold because I believed the other deal to be better, granted there will be people that would be more suited to the original deal but there will also be people, like myself, that would be better suited to the Virgin one. Did you just want an argument or are you so impressed by this deal that nobody can have an opinion that differs from yours on it?

I'm not arguing, I'm expressing an opinion that differs to yours.
But my point still stands, you didn't post a deal that matches the one you voted cold on, you posted a link to a deal that maybe suites your needs. For me data is important and call time has zero importance to me.
At least make a like for like comparison.

I agree here. A good data deal seems to be much harder to obtain below the £15 mark these days.

Good deal, but not 4G.

I was recently looking at the 2GB BT contract for my children but I think once you use your 2GB data allowance they charge you a high price per MB and on the iPhone there isn't an easy way to limit monthly data usage so I ended up going with a 2GB Three contract for £11 as they allow you to stop any additional spend on calls or data.

Looks a really good deal to me - and obviously not comparable to the Virgin deal which has 1/3rd of the data allowance.

I regularly get to the top of my 2gb limit and either have to pay extra for a top-up or spend the last week or so limiting myself. So 3GB is perfect for me. And £10 is a very good price for that. Fortunately I got one of the BT broadband contract offers recently. Voted hot.

BT have a spend cap, but this is apparently set at £5 minimum, so you'd get a warning but you could still go over by £5. Not sure why they couldn't have set this to 0, but it seems like you managed to get a peace of mind deal.
