£21.84 after MMNEWBIE code
@punkrjb - you should post that as a deal! Especially as that original deal is no longer available and this whole thread is about to be expired.

Ordered, thanks.
Why does it take so long nowerdays on this site for mods to expire deals no longer available. It seems like this site has gone backwards or is that just me?

Is still in stock. Try this link or search for BT Powerline on Mymemory site
mymemory.co.uk/bt-…tml

Not much stock in Argos though in West Midlands
Do these actually work ?
i live in 'sheltered' accommodation and wonder if this would work extending my wi-fi to the common room, approx 20 to 25 meters away?

It should as it uses the electrical nables to link up the two boxes then acts as a wifi repeater
Yes Lugworm they do work.
The reviews dont look good.
Last time i used a wifi extender, my wifi sppeeds dropped from 36mbs to 1mbs. wonder if this kit will do the same?
I reserved this at Argos. Thanks.

This is not just an Wi-Fi extender but a powerline set too. So long as you have fairly good cabling it should work. I've been using gigabit poweline adapters for tv boxes and they have been excellent
Don't know if it's better or worse but the BT Broadband Extender 600 Kit is available for £19.99 delivered from Amazon:

This one has WiFi, that one is wired only
Might be a daft question but do these need to be on the same socket ring in the house or just any socket contracted to the consumer unit.
Any socket ring
Does this come with 2 ethernet cables to connect with?

Edit: Also is it only compatible with 2g or 5g as well?

hi - does this create a new wifi network? or does it store same info as original (name and password)?

thanks
Looks good, been after a decent one for a while as WiFi is garbo in my living room.
If you wanted one but Argos were out of stock, it's worth checking again. It's round the time uncollected reservations expire. (I let mine lapse after deciding not to get it).
Can also preorder from Amazon amazon.co.uk/BT-…06Y thats what I have done
