BT sport £50 for 6 months (Barmy Army First Class members or extra £30/40) - 12 month contract, £25.99 x 6 + £20 activation

Just had an email about joining the Barmy Army (England cricket supporters group) for £30 and getting BT Sport free for 6 months, which I thought was a great deal (a £20 BT Sport activation fee applies, taking the total cost for this to £50).

Once you join the Barmy Army, a link comes up straight away to sign up to BT Sport, and my channels were activated straight away. I believe that you need to have a Sky box to take up this offer.

This is ideal for the Ashes, Champions League and Premier League football.
Hope this helps someone! The deal expires on 17th November

Supermod

Thanks for this. Added the membership prices to your title as I think you need to be a Barmy Army member to get the offer.

Also, it says £25.99 from month 7 as there is a 12 month contract? So this is £155.94 plus £20 activation plus £30 membership? Let me know what i've missed.

It's a mod with a cape

Good deal... I'd like to know if is there a separate fee to watch this in HD?

Yeah that

Have seen this deal around without the need of Barmy Army membership-just BT Sport making it sound a great deal by the lure of "Free for 6 months".

Only joking, you mods do a great job, thanks.

All you need is on mobdro.to

The 12 month contract is the killer. My elderly mum is an avid cricket fan and wants to watch the Ashes series. She has had SKY, inc the sports channels for many years (cricket channel only now), but cannot justify paying a year's subscription for something she will watch for 6 weeks. Even to add it for a couple of months, the cost is prohibitive with the connection fee. She has no internet connection so i can't set her up with Mobdro either. I guess i'll have to get her an early Xmas present.

It’s free for the first 3 months and then £5 extra a month - sure that’s what it said anyway.

just checked the minimum BT sport contract and it is 1 month @ £25.99 plus one off £35 activation fee , from month 4 is £30.99

You'd need 2 months to watch the ashes tests so that would be a ridiculously high £87. And what is the activation fee all about? In reality, all that happens is someone at SKY presses a few keys on a keyboard. They want you to pay a fee to enable you to pay them a monthly fee.
