I've just had this email from plusnet. Offering me the BT sport app for just £1 a month then £5 thereafter.

Not sure if there is a minimum contract or not.

Link doesnt work for me even though I have Plusnet mobile and broadband. Logged in and it says the offer isnt available for me. Might be because my name isnt Richard though..dunno voted hot in the hope I have an email on its way soon

This is quite good, as the free account EE gives you only allows you to watch on your phone.

I’ve just logged in at it’s offered it to me for £2.50 per month for th3 first 6 months then £5 onward

Not sure if 12 month contract. Is there a minimum contract term for the £2.50 offer?

So it's usually 2.50 a months but after 6 months of a pound it reverts to 5 a month .

£5 a month for me.

Can you get this with a mobile broadband account only. I'm on our old faithful EE deal but the TV casting appeals to me. EE is too restrictive and requires you to get a 4g tablet and I like to watch on TV.

I've got both broadband and mobile with these guys but when I login they only offer me £5 a month. I guess it's very account specific so I'm not sure it's worth switching for.

Tempted to get this. Showing as £5 for me but only really want it for the ashes and it's only a 1 month contract. Anyone know what the tv casting is like?

@krakpot Would you please post the address that the original email leads to? Should be something like this: plus dot net /sportapp/?promotionCode=

For me, the casting is great. Maxes out at only 720p, but easy to use from your phone, and saves you from having to mess about with another set-top box. If your TV supports it, cast straight to TV; if not, you'll need a Chromecast.

i only have plusnet mobile is there any way i can subscribe to the bt sport app or is it just for plusnet broadband /tv subscribers ?

Thanks. I have a 2016 lg tv and I think I can cast to it without chromecast.

Watched the Women's Ashes this morning, casting to a projector, and my first impressions are that it has better resolution than Sky SD (via satellite), offset by a slightly poorer frame rate. On the whole very acceptable.
