In real life streaming via Chromecast is superb and as close to HD as you will get. Super fast and simple to use. No customer service issues here

It's 3 months for £1 per month, then £5 thereafter - i've just logged in to my account.
For mobile customers also ?
Probably not even worth that soon... losing lots of sport!!

It says for Plusnet residential broadband customers only.

I mean it is a £1.00. You could possibly use the BT Sport app in the Windows store and try to login. I remember using my EE free BT Sports like this. I probably won't take it either but thought it was a good share. If SD is bad for our eyes then there'll be an epidemic at the Ophthalmology departments across the UK, don't you think?
Good deal! just received an email about it, dont grudge paying a £1. Can make use of that Chromecast now!

Couldn’t agree more. It looks fantastic via chromecast on my tv.
Check you can use chromecast in this deal. I get bt sport from EE on the app for a fiver a month but it does not allow casting, the app blocks it. Limited to watching on phone only. Hopefully it’s different on this deal.

I have the BT Sport app through Plusnet and it definitely allows casting.

Unfortunately they're no longer showing the UFC or NBA but if you're not bothered by that it's still good value.
Found plus net to be quite good
BT sport app allows screen mirror from iPhone to Apple TV if it helps anyone.

Plusnet Customer Service is non-existent.
I've had to wait 45 mins on three occasions in the past fortnight before they managed to answer the phone.
Load of numpties!
Tv or fibre only
I watch it on Apple TV via the app and the picture quality is fantastic

I agree, PlusNet support is the worst I have encountered in Broadband providers. It's a good price for what you get, but just pray you never have to phone them up for anything.
The email I received from Plusnet earlier read:

This Black Friday, BT Sport is yours for just ONE POUND a month for the first 3 months, then £5 a month after that*. Watch on your phone, laptop, tablet or cast it to your TV in stunning HD.

It obviously depends upon your specific account history?

Can confirm I have BT Sport app subscription through plusnet too and casting works ok from phone to Chromecast. However, if casting you have to opt for SD stream. Instead if watching on Windows 10 app you can stream in HD (so if you have HDMI out on a win10 laptop you're better off connecting that to your TV to watch it). On the HD stream you can also do camera angles changes and other features (but to be honest I usually just cast for convenience). It's a shame it's restricted like this and the fact the BT Sport app is not built in to the TV like many other apps. But for £5/month I've stuck with it. Could, fairly easily, be so much better though!
Mine also says £1 for first 3 months then £5 , but when I clicked on that its says the page is not found........

I've been using the BT Sport app (via BT, then Plusnet) to directly cast from phone to TV (Android OS) for at least 18 months, and it's always been possible to cast in HD. If that weren't possible, I wouldn't pay for it.

Yes, there seems to be a problem with that link on the leaflet. I've sent them a message via Twitter help. I guess the 2nd best option is to ring up and get the deal.
I had a live chat earlier and I was told that I will be getting it for £1 for the first six month then it will be £5 , I said ok lets go for it.....after few minuts later I receievd an email saying its £2.50 for the first 6 months, then £5 thereafter .......so I decided to call them to cancel my order , but there was a lovely lady on the other end apologised to me and credited £15 back in to my account .....so I am getting 6 month for free.........happy days op....one thing she said was it was not offered from plus net and she said it was from Hotukdeals.....not sure why she said that.

(Thank you very much for getting in touch with us. Following our conversation, I am sorry about the about the 1.00 per month offer you had for BT sport app but it was not through plusnet. I have offered you credit you the amount of 10.00 as a gesture of good will for the inconvenience. In addition, I have credit credit the amount of 5.00 against you next bill to cover the cost of the price you have been promised. Thank you for your telephone call today and it was a pleasure in talking to you.)
