BT sport free for 12 months when taking out package

Found 10th Aug 2017
If you are a BT customer they have sent out an email offering free BT sport for 12 months with any TV package one of which is free.

They ask for a one of charge of £59.99 but it includes a free view box. You can get it totally free if you already have a Sky box by asking them to add it to your viewing card.

If you do take up the deal they will extend your current contract for 12 months so they both expire at the same time.

If you don't have the email you can call 0800 345 741

If your out of contract I found your best bet is to sign up with another provider then contact them when you receive the text about cancellation.

Managed to haggle free Infinity 2 for 24 months and BT sports for 18 months. Just paying line rental.
12 month contract extension. No thanks. I am almost at the end of my contract so no way am I giving them any way to charge me full price for next 12 months!
Great find op thanks had my infinity broadband switched over today from sky and they happily applied the offer over the phone onto my sky q box well happy thanks again

Can I ask if it was easy or haed to haggle for that ?
Must have been pretty hard as I spent ages on the phone to them and had to call a few times before I got passed up the line far enough to get any discount. Even then I only got a reduction to around the new customer deal price and had to agree to a 24 month contract (They were offering smaller reductions for the usual shorter contracts). That's with Evening and weekends, Entertainment TV and Infinity 2 and no new equipment.
Even though I argued I was saving them money by not having a new hub, TV box or cashback/voucher card they wouldn't budge and that was after I said I was about to leave then.

I tried treating them like sky and phoning up to cancel and hoping for a discount but no joy, was being offered around £10 off my £55 bill on a 24 month contract.

I genuinely was ready to leave and signed up to plusnet and received a text after a few days from BT with dates of when my services would end. These dates didn't correspond with plusnet activation date so called the help number in the text and got straight through to people who could actually help.
Was told they had better deals available than normal CS.

Was offered free Infinity 1 for 24 months and 18 months free sports straight off the bat. Had problems applying offer but girl I was dealing with upgraded me to infinity 2 over email.

Plusnet order was swiftly cancelled and refunded.

Might seem like a hassle but if your at the point of leaving, it may be worth a call and see what happens.
I had just signed up for BT Infinity, and had BT Sport on Sky. Phoned up 0800 345 7425, the number in the email, and they changed me over to get BT Sport free for 12 months by extending 12 month contract by a few weeks.
