BT Sport HD (on Sky TV) £9.99 per month for 3 months (no activation fee - £9 for voucher) - Groupon

Ok, we all know BT Sport is overpriced normally (£24 p/m for HD is ridiculous), but £30 for 3 months of BT Sport in HD seems a good deal to watch the football over the xmas period. To put into context it is £9 per month via BT (in HD) if you have BT Infinity, so the price is reasonable in comparison. the voucher from Groupon is £9 so makes this about £12.99 a month on average, but there is no activation fee which is normally £30.

Key Points:

£9 for voucher then £9.99 per month for 3 months
New customers only
Only via Sky TV
Must redeem voucher by 26th November
No activation fee (usually £30)
30 day cancellation notice required
Rises to £19.99 for SD and £23.99 for HD per month after the 3 month period.

This is true, but this deal is for Sky TV. There are numerous different ways to get BT sport, but this is the cheapest I have seen it in HD on Sky (albeit only for 3 months)

Don't forget BT Sport is the only place to watch Champions League football aswell
Great price but has come at the worst period for football.

This is smack bang in the Champions league rest period. If this deal is on in February I'd get it, but definatley not for now.

Judging by your name, you wont need to watch past the group stages anyway.
Word of warning - been very disappointed with BT Sport over internet. Blocky picture, freezing, poor definition. Netflix and Amazon Prime have been much much better over exactly same connection.

I think the letter came out in September because i got on the phone right away to complain as i don't watch BT Sport and it was a compulsory rise as it's available on the XL package so they credited my account by £15 to cover five months of increases as i was on a fixed contract with them for a year
I'll be seeing all the games over Christmas for free on Kodi
HD used to be £4 - £9 now

Took out BT broadband a month ago, and my BT/TV with BT sport is free. Only more for HD. BT sport app is good to, along with quality and speed of the broadband.

Yeah - no idea. I'm watching through a wired BT TV box. Same ethernet into TV running Amazon Prime / Netflix works a treat!

How? explain this to me please thank you
Slightly confused by this offer, so I have to pay £9 for a voucher

so that i can get bt sport for £10 a month on sky?

where does the £12.99 come in?

after the first month could you give the 30 days notice and cancel but still get the full 3 months?

is it a nightmare to cancel?

How? explain this to me please thank you

Just google it...It takes a bit of working out how to use it but there is help videos on youtube i gave up and uninstalled it too much playing about for me.

Not sure how this works?
I have a very old sky box (not HD)
I don't have any Sky subscriptions to any paid channels at the moment
I have a broadband connection with Virgin Media
Do i need a sky viewing card to qualify for this offer?

No. Netflix and Amazon Prime run perfectly as I've already said.

It's an odd issue, maybe some firewall restrictions on your end? Can't fault the BT app tbh, I'd even argue it's better than Sky's and the quality has been perfect for me (even though I begrudge paying for BT sport, I must concede the app is good)

Yeah, it's weird all right. Solved the problem though by getting NowTV! BT Sport wanted £15/month (I didn't accept the reduced price because I'd be locked into a contract), so I buy the occasional day/week pass for Sky Sports. Works out a bit more expensive, but you get a better selection of games (and channels).

And it works!!

Yes because they're downloaded first, unlike a live stream.

Thanks for the reply, but isn't NowTV / Sky Sports also a live stream? Also speedtested the connection and I'm getting the quoted BT Infinity download speeds. I reckon it must be a problem with the BT YouView box. Especially as nobody else seems to have the same problem!
