Is this available on sky?
Thanks mate!:)
But I hope BT Sport collapses! They have the most boring and low IQ analysts with Michael owen, rio, scholes, etc
They are making ITV chaps look decent by comparison and I thought that was near impossible! No wonder they are having catastrophically low viewing figures!

Unfortunately, no. However, if you've got a TV with freeview built in you can connect an aerial to it and watch it through that (If it's worth the hassle).

I know! Micheal Owen has got to be the worst of the lot, his voice irritates me and he sounds so dull. I preferred it when Sky Sports got one leg and ITV got the return tie. To add to misery, their showcase channel decides to broadcast Real Madrid vs. Wolfsburg over Manchester City vs. PSG and the Villarreal game over Liverpool vs. Dortmund. Oh well, it's better than nothing I guess. Enjoy the games mate!
Do you need to be connected to the net on the bt youview box for this? just wondering for my dad.

They are showcasing the games without English teams because they are the less attractive ones to English fans. It makes sense they would keep the attractive games on the paid for service.
Read today Fifa stated they made mistake by giving full rights to bt as viewing figures dropped they will give terrestrial tv some games in future when renew bt must be doing a real bad job
Its called Kodi on Android box and dont have to put up with Owens voice.
What about freesat or freesat via Sky??
Is there anyway to watch this on your tv without virgin or freeview? i have sky i can't find this channel

Can you chromecast this to your tv?

Thanks
Michael Owen is unwatchable, sack him and whatever bright spark made him a commentator. Just when you think things couldn't get more boring you have to listen to Paul Scholes at half time! All you need to Gary Borelow invited on as a guest to complete the hat trick!!

Average audiences of 200'000 whereas you'd have millions watching on ITV

Nonsense.
Its not nonsense. All through the later part of both European tournaments they only showed maybe 2 games which had "Home" teams. You want to watch the rest of them, you have to pay for them...
I have BT sport and i love it,but would much rather have it on ITV or even BBC, maybe BBC if they are keeping the tv license and to make it worth the cost. BT Sport has its downsides though,Owen is terrible at commentary, also a scottish bloke on ESPN FC is always putting teams down in the premier league.

Nonsense.

OK, so what is the real reason then?

Seems pretty obvious to me that English fans are going to be less likely to sign up to the paid service if they broadcast the English games for free, but if you have a better explanation let me know.

They've had English teams shown for free before, therefore it's not a categoric answer.

But it's obvious that they aren't going to show the majority of the big ticket games on their free channel. You might get 1 or 2 if you are lucky but there doesn't seem to be any commitment by BT to show specific games on that channel, not like before when we had a guaranteed game every week on ITV. They will just show whatever they think suits them best, like the free watch days you get from Sky Sports every now and then.
Have to say, the picture quality of that channel is terrible, actually worse than the non-HD BT Sport channels delivered over the internet but its better than nothing I suppose.

As I've got BT TV, I'm getting all the BT Sport channels included so for me so I'm getting a good deal - all the CL games on Tues/Wed and all the Europa League games on Thursday. From a Liverpool perspective the BT coverage of the Europa League is pretty good, the picture quality is far better than ITV4/C5 and watching on mobile/chromecast is a decent option when you away from home. Better than paying £25 for Sky then extra for Sports.

Yes a lot of the commentary leaves a lot to be desired (and Owen is boring) but tbh there are too many poor pundits on all of the channels right now and somehow the worst ones seem to pop up on every competing channel (like Ian Wright).

So if it's not a categoric answer its nonsense?!

They show some in the group stages because they are contractually obliged to show a certain a number, but as soon as they hit their contractual quota they show no more. They get it out of the way as early as possible before things get really interesting.
