Refreshed 12th Mar 2019 (Posted 10th Mar 2019)

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Superfast fibre broadband 50Mbps including line rental, at potentially under £10 / month with TCB and flogging the Galaxy tablet.

  • Unlimited monthly usage
  • Smart Hub – more powerful than the hubs from other big broadband providers
  • BT Virus Protect on 2 devices and Parental controls
  • No broadband price rises in 2019

Get your choice of tech worth up to £179 with Superfast Fibre
Sign up for Superfast Fibre by 14 March and get your choice of tech gift. Choose from:

  • Amazon Echo – the Alexa-enabled speaker you control with your voice
  • Fitbit Charge 3 – Fitbit’s most advanced tracker ever measures activity, sleep and more
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 – the tablet’s super-high resolution 10.1in screen is perfect for videos and games

Usual price is £29.99 upfront, link is a Uswitch deal so only £9.99 upfront, but No Cashback!!

Over 18 months, it should work out as:
£29.99*18+£9.99-£80 or £26.10/month plus free Galaxy A10.1 worthing £179 in the shops, so just above £16.10/month if you can flog the tablet. Not bad for 50Mbps fibre broadband.

If they increase the price shortly after 2019 and you switch (keeping the tablet), the effective price per month would be even lower.

BUT

Thanks to Headingley_Lad and JohnnyRoller, you might be able to get another £120 cashback via Topcashback.

£29.99 x 18 + £9.99 - £80 Reward Card - £120 TCB = £349.81 or £19.43 per month and you get a free £179 Samsung Tab A 10.1 tablet.

If additionally you manage to flog the Samsung Tab A 10.1, for say the typical price in the shop currently of £179, then it will be £170.81 or £9.48 per month for the 50Mbps fibre broadband and line rental. Obviously the £179 is optimistic, but it gives you an idea.

The TCB link is at the bottom of the TCB BT Broadband page (reached by clicking a "Load More" label), the option is the first item in the screenshot below:

3195091.jpg
Member JohnnyRoller here was told by a BT agent on Live Chat that: "you get an email invite to claim one of the free gifts within 15 days of placing the order. To claim the BT reward Mastercard you have to claim within 3 months of the service being activated. However with that you don't get an email as a reminder, so just do that as soon as it goes live." The link to claim the Reward card is at: bt.com/man…rd/

8th April 2019 Update:

Offer has been extended without end date specified. The Reward Mastercard value has been changing, sometimes quite frequently. It was £90 the morning of 29th March, then £80, followed by £30, now £40...

Folks the web page for the deal that has the tech gift is at bt.com/saving

At the moment it is not 100% clear (but see * below) whether any cashback site will give you cashback for the deal with the tech gift, assuming none, the equivalent monthly cost calculation is:

£29.99 x 18 + £9.99 - £40 Reward Card = £509.81, or £28.33 per month, and you get a tech gift of your choice that can be a Samsung Tab A 10.1 tablet, usually £179 in the shops.

If you value the tablet at £179, the fibre broadband and line rental cost is equivalent to £18.38 per month.

* HUKD members have been reporting (as recent as 23rd March) that they are still offered the Tech Gifts by bt although they went through TCB link that does not refer to the Tech Gifts - see this and this. With TCB on top, the equivalent cost of broadband and line rental will drop to roughly £12 per month.

BT has also been changing the expiry date of this deal a number of times.

If you like this deal please like this comment, so that it can remain near the top of every page for this deal - my original post is locked so I am unable to update that any more myself, but I will try to update this comment to avoid confusion to interested shoppers.

Cheers!

Automatic compensation (without your asking) for broadband problems with bt came into force today (1st April):
TalkTalk, Sky, Zen Internet and BT all use BT's Openreach network to provide broadband and landline services. In December, the providers agreed a deal with Openreach that if any delays to repairs or installations occurred, Openreach would compensate the providers. The providers would then use that money to automatically compensate their customers. Separately Virgin is also in the scheme despite relying on their own lines.

Under the terms of the agreement, if an engineer does not arrive on schedule, or cancels within 24 hours, the compensation will be £25. If a service stops working and is not fully fixed after two working days, customers will be entitled to £8 a day in compensation. There will also be £5-per-day offered for new services not starting on time.

As above go through TopCashBack for £120 cashback and you will still qualify for the free gift, BT reward Mastercard, £9.99 one off charge and £29.99 a month. Just make sure you remember to cancel after 18 months, as the price increases to over £50 a month.

Sky fibre 50mb is £35.99 through top cashback and Quidco for some reason.

Which indicates it's fine to claim everything.

I'm an existing costumer, I already pay this price. Contract is expiring in May. Any change to get this ??

I've done many free gift and cashback deals, this will be no different. Cashback is never guaranteed, but everything else is part of the promotion directly through the BT website.

All ordered OP thanks so much, assuming this TCB tracks like my old one I got an extra £80 gift card, £20 reduction in set up fee to get faster broadband at same monthly rate. Only issue is i now get it the 25th instead of 15th March :-D Have to have patience, currently get about 10mbps so should be nice increase!
I'm about 11 months into an 18 month contract & paying £50 month for Broadband with BT (£68 inc BT Sports in HD via Sky) I get around 53 MBPS DL currently. Am happy with the service but how can I get a better price?

I imagine it may say that superfast is available in your area but demand is high at the moment.... probably means that your street cabinet or exchange is full up

Ps - you should also probably be offered mobile sim only at 20gb/unlimited mins and texts for £15 a month and another £80 prepaid mastercard, could be worth taking too if it suits

You should definitely be eligible then, maybe a browser issue or site error. Maybe clear browsing history and data, then try again.

Something i noticed that was not clear from the offer. This deal comes with:

I was tempted by the £4:50 Unlimited Evening and weekend calls. But weekend is fine for me.

Do you see the "Load More" label at the bottom of the BT BB page at TCB? You need to click that label to see the screen shown at the bottom of my screenshot in my original post above.

I have just tried it this moment and it works fine clicking through, leading to the £29.99/m + £9.99 setup deal.

Do not click through the HUKD link at my original post if you want to go through TCB for a chance of getting the £120 TCB cashback.
