There were quite a few left in the Jarrow morrisons - I nearly bought these when they were £49.98

Here is a link to some reviews on Amazon not the best but that was when they were at £99.99/89.99

Amazon Reviews

I wish my Morrison sold these but there electrical department is non existent

sorry, had some of these.... horribly unreliable

I still have some from a few years ago, main issue is battery life. Replacements are only a couple of quid though.

Grantham and Burton-upon-Trent both had them in recently

What batteries do they take?
---- Google is my friend, seems to be AAA's.

Most of the reviews sound like the phones could be transformed by a decent set of NiMH cells and making sure the contacts are clean.

They don't come with cheap [email protected] and low capacity NiCads do they?

Long, long, long ago my Diverse 1000 (first DECT in the UK I think) went lala, but once I'd reasoned it out that it was the batteries, I fitted NiMH and never looked back. The Nicads got tired and didn't want to provide power in sufficient quantity, Asked to deliver a lot of current (like ringing loudly) the voltage dropped too low for the electronics to work... Decent batteries = instant fix.

Shame my Morrisons doesn't do electricals ...

What did you make with all that soya?

I have the 3 set of these and so do my sister we both think they are great, both had them for well over a year and never had any problems with them, when they first came out they did have some faults with them that they would cut off half way through a phone call but they fixed this.

Great phones - heat added.

I bought the trio version of these in June 2007 and never had a problem or had to replace a battery

Back then I paid £67 for a set of three, so 4 for £30 is brilliant.

I've just binned one of these which has been driving me crazy cutting off for two years.....

nice price but i also am about to bin mine as they are not that good now mite try new batterys first

I'd still reckon some decent batteries (and a couple of FULL charge/discharge cycles) would sort a whole bunch of the reported problems.

May be the batteries. Just did some google ing and the first lot of these came with nicads.

...perhaps I was just unlucky with mine, tried new NiMH's but two of the handsets would cut off as soons as a call was made or received

Funny, two of mine behave exactly the same.

Bought some of these quad pack about 2 years ago from makro for £25
The Good
phones are great, with answer machine, intercom, loudspeaker and even takes a sim card so you can copy all the numbers on to each handset
The bad
Battery life is crap, turn off when answer the phone

Not in either of our local Morrisons. The one which has something resembling an electrical section had the Binatone Style 1810 Quad reduced to £29.95, but a quick look on Amazon revealed not good reviews so I gave them a miss. Funnily enough the Triple pack was more expensive!

They are not the same model I don't think as these don't have answer machine function or use NiCads.
