Thanks Adam, looks good

I have the Synergy 4100 (same but minus the answer phone) , its a piece of junk.

Cuts out sometimes when answering the phone. (The reviews on Amazon agree with this)

Do not buy.

Something from Panasonic would be a better buy.

But could make a nice wedding gift for someone you hate.

Had a BT phone that would cut out my ADSL line when I used it in the same room as the PC!
RRP is way OTT
Fair price but quality of phone is questionable.

Mines fine. Take them back?

Or get your line sorted to the next comment.

How old is yours?

But my experience is hardly unique based on Amazon reviews.

Out of 7 reviews on Amazon 4 of these are 1 star, all relating to the power issues. Not just the model you posted either, includes, twin, triple & quad packs all stating power issues.

Twin pack reviews: amazon.co.uk/pro…s=1

20 1* reviews out of 27.

They are garbage.

what does DECT mean?

I've had the same issues with these - bought a triple pack - poor quality reception, line cutting out, battery was awful, limited range... I threw them away when i realised they were out of warranty and bought some panasonics, much better.

Better off buying a Panasonic set - too many problems with the BT ones
