Might not be available for everyone but for those that it is available for it is BTs best offer so far. This offer is being advertised on Facebook and doesn’t seem to be available from anywhere else.

Ultrafast 1 - 150mbps
£39.99 per month.
£9.99 setup fee although when clicking the link it says £59.99. Not sure if you’d be able to claim the money back by showing the screenshot.
£90 BT reward card.

Effective monthly cost £35.55 per month.

Ultrafast 2 300mbps also available at £45.99 per month instead of £59.99.

I can't get Ultrafast unfortunately, I like the idea of those faster upload speeds. I really don't understand why they've deployed it to the least wealthy areas first where I live, you'd think that it's the wealthy areas that would have the money to pay for it whilst it's new technology?
Is this FTTP or GFast ultrafast?

I’ve noticed it’s mainly to those areas that did not have any type of fibre and were stuck with Adsl. So those areas were already underserved.

I think both actually. FTTP also offers the same packages.
eshaq78606/08/2019 10:37

G.fast

I just stuck in a FTTP address at checkout and it says it's fine, if it's definitely for FTTP then that's cheap

Probably because it's harder to get permissions to install the large exchange boxes on the road sides that are needed for ultrafast broadband due to the wealthy areas don't like unsightly boxes in their areas. Homes in wealthy areas are also larger, more spaced out thus more expensive/harder to run cables.
This is just a guess on my part.

GFast is just a extra pod on a normal FTTC cabinet & FTTP is either all underground or attached onto telegraph polls. The reason why there not installing FTTP with investment money is because there only looking to spend <£300-500 per premises passed since they want as much coverage as possible so they get more payout.

If your getting sub 24mbps BDUK may fund for FTTP to be rolled out into your area. (find out by checking your local councils broadband page if they got any plans for your area).

Also, you can go the FTTPoD route and pay £10k+ per KM away you are from the aggregation node for FTTP to be installed in your area.
wish this was for existing customers as well
There going have to get a lot faster and cheaper when 5G is nationwide
Getting our FTTP installed today. This is a good deal - don’t get put off by the cold votes. We’re having ultra 2 put in and it’s costing more than this albeit we got a £120 MasterCard and £140 Quidco.

You can. You just have to sign up for a new contract. I had the same done as part of a home move and they honoured the deal.

Okay everyone can't get it but I'm paying £26pm for 200mb from Virgin Media

I spoke to them and they told me its for new customers only. I do have 10 months left on a contract though

Try a different advisor. First advisor told me the same thing. Second one honoured it.
Sadly I don’t think people realise how rare FTTP is and are comparing this deal against 40meg Plus Plus deals and whatnot.

BT should wake up and notice competition doesn't charge for line rental. Also, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Lots of people can't operate their phone properly, let alone know what FTTP is mate. They're probably just comparing this to their talk talk 3mbps that streams EastEnders on this "new smart TV thing just great".
£59.99 delivery charge!!! Does it come in a chauffeur driven limousine?

This is where it doesn’t make sense as the Facebook ad says it’s £9.99. You might be able to dispute it with them.
I can’t get Britosh Telecom Fibre To The Premises here.

EE$ offer however will supply me
Fibre To The Peasants - £55

Must be as I’m a Scotsman

You can take our Openreach, you’ll never take our money

Yup, it’s that amazing pre-post gov customer services standard, pass-the-buck they call it, except it has a F in it not b.
For a BT deal, its good. Voted Hot

Im currently on BT FTTP and have the 150mb package and paying £48 for it. Tempted to move up to the 300mb however my contract expires June 2020 and i wont want to reset it because Cityfibre is rolling out their FTTP in the Milton keynes and offer far cheaper prices for once they arrive to my area. 900/900 for £48 or if you have a vodafone sim its £43

With pure fibre, it is an engineer install as they have put a new coper/fibre cable up and install an ONT box. So there are additional costs related to that type install.

As for g.fast, not sure if that is an engineer install as its just requires a g.fast compatible modem (aka smart hub 2).

At the moment, this is a pretty decent price by BT. I susspect this will fall further in Autumn when sky starts its g.fast and FTTP offering..

The big question is, will PN start selling g.fast and fttp, given that sky is their direct competitior..

Sometimes with GFast a engineer has to come out and replace the master socket depending on how old their current one is.

Thats nothing to do with g.fast in itself. The same can be done with vdsl if you have problems. Basically if you have a face plated master socket you shouldn't need a replacement (unless its faulty). Note that g.fast has a dot.. it isn't gfast.

This is what they sent via Facebook

Did you get the link sent to you by email? If so please call our loyalty team to check if they can get you this deal - 0800 783 1401 ^Dee - BT_UK Team
Thanks OP I just ordered for my new flat and to echo others it's gone cold because people don't understand what this is.
On another note the setup cost top the Ultrafast says £59.99 setup fee but when you actually order I was only charged £9.99 so really good value and only an 18 month contract.

Great deal
