Good luck getting it to go smoothly.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Absolute shambles.

that's all good and we'll if you're in a virgin area, but stuff like this will be useful for some I'm sure

Yes thank you for pointing that out. Very true
No issues with BT on my part. Did mine through Quidco a while back and paid out with no problems.
Cracking deal.
Agreed BT absolute joke when it comes to customer service but if you're just switching back and forth between plusnet and BT there shouldn't be a problem because there the same company.

BT don't have to care because they own openreach, the sooner they get broken up the better.
I have been BT customer since adsl first launched, and had BT Infinity 2 for close to 4 years. And I am now binning them as mentioned before they’re shambles, and a disgrace to the uk telecoms industry.. I have spent nearly 40 hours trying to get them sort a fault. It’s been at level 2 for nearly 6 weeks, and complaint after complaint....and three failed to show engineer appointments...and 16 chat room sessions...and I have received 78 texts saying BT will call you between ...and no call... an absolute joke
I have just signed up for virgin cable…and they don’t fear any better 8 letters , 12 emails…and 2 changed installation dates…and letter saying your cooling off period starts from your on line order
all this for a £241 hit on topcashback
All before the installation date of 24th Feb……….bring back freeserve that’s what I say

Would not use BT even if it was free!! Already had 2 missed appointments to install and on both occasions they didn't show up and no info whatsoever from them. Customer service is worst I have ever had dealings with. They should not be in business!
my broadband connection goes off all the time. BT say they can see a fault, will preform a line clean then call me in 48 hours to see what action is needed. They never call (Ever) then you call them and have a line clean and the process goes round and round. BT like all companies are great when you don't have a problem. but you realise what kind of Company BT are when you do need their help. I've just left them and I won't be returning.

just to add, like SKY when you do leave, or if you switch suppliers, call them up and they'll offer you the world to stay. Another company that punishes loyalty.

Here, here. Recently moved. How difficult can it be to transfer from one property to another? They raised orders, cancelled them for no reason. Sent filters to my old address. I could go on.
Never been with BT and will never go with.
Horror stories from anyone I know who has been with them.
I took this deal a few months ago during one of their 'massive broadband sales' Topcashback paid no problem and I got my pure visa prepaid card through the post. I've had no reason to get in touch with them but have read the horror stories in the forums
I've been with bt for years, but they're the best of a bad bunch unless you wanna pay through the roof. I have to.admit the customer services is awful, but if they talk crap or don't sort out my issues, I email the managing director and it gets sorted out quickly after that.

as for the failed installations, read this

Never really had a problem with them, they don't have other problem that all the companies have, as said they are like the rest. As for their internet they are by far very fair, you can download what ever you want no time restrictions, 24/7 unblocked speed. As I now virgin talk talk and Sky they all block peer to peer most of the day.
thats very true as well. and to be honest, bt's biggest problem is the home hub 5, I managed to blag a credit out of them to purchase my own modem by renewing my contract and since then have had a reliable service.
The 5 isn't the best, the 3 was very good, I went in to the setting for the wifi and got it setup better, so working. Better so far. She crashes less often now

What settings did you change?

My issue with the 3 is that i sometimes can't connect a device, while other devices are OK. Looks almost like there is a limit to the number of connected devices, but afaik there shouldn't be a limit.

I was just going to order a new hh5 but sounds like i should think again.

sorry to hijack this thread...
get Wifi Analyzer (play.google.com/sto…ils?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en_GB) for an andriod device. and go in to the channel rating settings, the one with the stars and look for the one with the most stars, then head back over you your hub settings and change them, dont forget to change for 2.4 and 5ghz
