Found 1st Dec 2011
Just seen on the BT Vision site that they've got a sale on their films. OK so they're not the latest blockbusters but it might help kill a couple of hours boredom for you or your kids. The complete list is as follows:

Johnny English

The Devil Wears Prada

Hot Fuzz

I, Robot

Footloose

Die Hard

Mission Impossible

Top Gun

Nativity

Night At The Museum

Planet of the Apes (2000)

Notting Hill

SpongeBob SquarePants – The Movie

There’s Something About Mary

Bourne Identity

The Full Monty

Each film can be kept and watched as many times as you like for 2 days.

I have BT Vision and these sales they occasional do are utter pants. Always old movies that are usually on ITV2 or FilmFour every few weeks.

Same here. BT do take the **** with these sales. Never any HD or new(er) movies discounted.

Agreed - they should really give us some HD stuff. Thought it was worth it for Hot Fuzz and Bourne though

Also, being a previous Sky customer, I much prefer BT Vision. On Demand content is the future.

Now if they took a £1 off the ggod rentals that would come closer to being a sale!!!

Agreed - why don't they do something like this? I do like the new cleaner interface on the Vision box now. That rainbow background was starting to really annoy me!

Thinking of leaving Sky to join BT Vision so any feedback would be appreciated. I'm a bit concerned regarding the lack of channels with BT Vision and not convinced on demand will make up for this bearing in mind the costs are similar. Which packages do you have?

I have BT Vision.

I may not be the best person to judge as I don't watch much TV, I only really have it for ESPN.

Having said that, the main thing you are missing at the moment with BT Vision is HD. The box doesn't support Freeview HD. Meaning you can't get BBC HD, ITV HD etc. You can however rent HD movies on demand.

If I remember they cost about £4 for an older movie, £6 for new movie. You have something like 3 minimum categories, all is about 5. something like TV, Film, Sport, Kids and Music.

I have them all due to the fact I had a lot of problems with boxes, espn etc.

I rarely look at it the kids, music. TV and Movies are pretty hit and miss to be honest.

examples of new movies this week:

Nutty Professor, Jurassic Park, Happy Feet, The Shining, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

TV:

Lost s1 - 6, Teen Mom s1 - 2, Rules of the Engagement s3, Doctor Who s1 - 4, South Park s14

Bottom line, There is nothing like the amount of channels. The on demand is good, but that's nothing like the channel surf ability of sky.
