nice buns fnaar fnaar

cold. it's BT

just get one if the homehub 5s a d provide the whole planet with wifi.

I swapped HH5 to HH6 and wifi only lifted a little, anyone used these I thought they were ceiling mounted. At moment I have tp-link power socket giving 3 ports and 2nd wifi to rear of house which works well but 2 wifi networks. I'd keep the 2nd network for others.

What makes these any better than any other repeater?
Does this work strictly with BTHomeHubs?

  • wo discs create a complete Wi-Fi network for flats and smaller homes with 1 - 2 bedrooms, removing Wi-Fi dead spots
  • Easy set up in minutes with step by step instructions in the Whole Home Wi-Fi app
  • Use the app to see who's online and even pause the internet
  • Works with all UK broadband providers, AC2600 Dual-Band wireless technology
  • Intelligent Wi-Fi technology automatically connects you to the fastest and strongest signal as you move from room to room (Wi-Fi roaming and band steering)

These work with any router, not just BT. I have tried both these and the Google Wifi. In my opinion BT's devices are better in that you don't lose functionality of your existing router. In contrast, Google Wifi replaces your router.

They create a 'mesh' network which tends to be a lot more reliable than range extenders and alike.

These seamlessly switch between discs as you move around the home, not sure but do repeaters do this?

Mine which "extends" (doesn't create a separate hotspot) do. Saying that I don't think these are worth the money, imo. Voted hot for the price reduction

Can anyone tell me if these are better than the BT mini hub kit as I had been thinking about that because my kids can never get a signal in their bedroom?

So does that mean with this I will have signal from my existing router and with the two discs or just the two discs?

If the former I was wondering why they would say only for two bedroom flats, three wifi signals is enough for most 5 bedroom homes

No repeaters are rubbish and a waste of money. You want one SSID and the ability to roam with the various access points with smart switching. You won’t get that from range extenders

Just bought these (2 packs) and they seem to work great (installed yesterday). Ive a 3bed semi with converted garage and would have needed more than 2 discs. I have 4 now and considering adding extras. It just works, pleased

Just from the discs, it creates a separate wifi. Well your original router wifi will still be there, but as a separate wifi to the bt one

BT Employees get another £6 off making it £93.99 for them.

Best to turn off your router’s Wi-Fi if you have these installed. No need to add unnecessary Wi-Fi contention.
