TP-Link homeplugs are way better than BT from my experience. Although you will get a nice signal in the areas where the BT homeplugs are placed, the transition from router's WiFi to BT homeplugs WiFi is NOT seamless, it drops the direct router connection and connects to the homeplug. This is with them both having the same SSID etc... With the TP-Link devices it's so seamless that it's like the routers WiFi range has been extended, rather than two hotspots with the same info.

Heat added for the price
In my experience I had 2 sets of TP-Link that failed after 11 months and 13 months. The BT ones on Ethernet ONLY have been rock solid for over 2 years.
Either way for £12 theses are burning hot
Thanks OP.

I picked up the Mini Wi-fi Home Hotspot 600 Kit (084288) - was £50, was £30,now £12.
Got one in Glasgow Maryhill this morning. Still a few on the shelf.
This one scanned at £12 yesterday at my local. Picked it up for my dad argos.co.uk/pro…538?cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59158%7Ccid:200290250%7Cagid:12504951290%7Ctid:aud-180466976485:pla-171802254290%7Ccrid:66128554130%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:2992234389881700905%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1NCnw5b31AIVQhMbCh0SFg7FEAQYAiABEgLDmvD_BwE
Right, purchased this one and the other one with passthrough but no WiFi.

Advice please, which one to keep?

Thanks.

The Ethernet is perfect on most homeplugs. The WiFi sucks because of the separation.
