She looks like she might need some lubricant applying.... The bike I mean.

As the advice goes, full sus only above £1200. But obviously not ridden it so can't way.

Which bike were you referring to?

They're good for the money, no doubt about it. But if you're looking to use it for more "serious" trail riding/trail centres, then you might find it's not the best place to start. The forks are okay for the money, but the rear shock isn't the best (or worst). People complaining of air leaks, but that can be user error too.

The running gear could be better (I'd prefer to see something a level up from Deore personally), but as a package, you could easily do a lot worse for the money.

Look at them boorakes.

I'd personally say - halfords.com/cyc…50b with all the halfords discounts attached is a lot better value. Better shocks and brakes and so on

Which discounts are currently available? Not a challenge per se, but not sure what the net price would be after discount to make a comparison.

B'twin bikes are good value and as standard include LIFETIME WARRANTY (B’TWIN guarantees the frame, stem, and handlebars for life.)

never heard that before like. as a good entry point now youve got to look to the giant stance for £999, falls in the cycle to work scheme aswell as under £1000. friend owns one and its very good value for the money. as far as this bike goes though, it got a 4.5/5 review on bike radar so presumably it should be ok if your looking for a full sus at this kind of price bracket, although personally for £600-£700i would rather get a second hand one off pinkbike. ive seen practically new giant stances on there going for £600 bikeradar.com/mtb…56/

Bike would be perfect for anyone looking for an entry level bike.

Isn't that Madeline Smith cocking her leg over the bike, gorgeous.
Off up a little carbon road bike 105 only gears and one only 54cm fufilled by Amazon for £567.78 might be good starter.

It went around a few years ago. I suppose nowadays that bracket has come down for certain manufacturers as the market has become wider.

I was about to post this myself. Funny how a bike mag says it's a great bike and people are still saying it's not all that. I bought my wife the £290 full sus Rockrider 500S and it's unbelievably good for the money.

Voted hot, I think Deore is the minimum drivetrain set anyone wanting to get into biking will need, I bought my wife a norco storm last year for £310 (circa the £400-450rrp mark)
And although it's a nice looking bike the Shimano acera can be slow and clunky, these parts are all replaceable and merlin, chain reaction all do great bargains.

If your looking to get a few upgrades at once look at rosebikes.co.uk
It's a german business that do parts really cheap, but you need to bulk buy to make the £7 postage worthwhile , just got SLx zee discs at £8.80, and xt casette is £27.50 (as opposed £32.5-35+ on uk sites)

Ps. Having been to sherwood pines a few times a hardtail is easily sufficient for red trails, a full suspension is overkill
