Great value bike at the normal price of £300. Available for £249 with £15 delivery in sizes 45 and 54. Just bought one in Belfast, still 3 more size 54 available.

Genuinely more than 5x better than the £50 crap from Tesco. These were a steal at their full rrp to begin with.

What size would 54 be suitable for plz

About 6ft inside leg 31ish

Very much depends on the proportions of a person, but I would say no less than 5'7 and no more than 5'10-5'11

Real bargain, deal of the day for me. But you must change the tyres, the ones with it are heavy and the grip isn't great

54 would suit me at 5'9". Tends to be a medium. Worth checking one out in store. It is certainly a good price for a well regarded bike punching well above its weight in terms of price/spec

Brilliant value!

Damn.. I've been waiting to get into store to see if a 54cm would suit me. These will be all gone by the time I get chance I'm sure! Will the new Decathlon range which I hear comes out this year have an equal £300 road bike?

Not sure if this is instore too, when I selected collect in store the price went back up to £300

Wow, these won't last long! Never seen them above size 45 or 48. Pity I bought my fixie off eBay a few months ago, or I would definitely go for this. Seems to be a cult icon!

Plenty of these in the Southampton store earlier today.

They also have a Special Triban 5 reduced down to £399.99 (Triban 7 frame, with Triban 5 group set).

Having bought this bike during the big rush in June when everybody thought they were going to stop making this bike, I have never looked back and thought I should have bought something else. Two friends also bought the same bike and they both love them. Shame they weren't keen on calling us the Triban Threesome...

Yes there is going to be a bike with similar (Instead of Shimano 2300 it might be Microshift) spec for the same price. Its going to be black with some blue stripes and should be available in stores around April.

Thought I saw the price of the new version will be £370, looks nice tho!

The £300 road bike in April will be the current Triban 3A.

The bike you are talking about is the Triban 500SE, which will be the Triban 500 (this year's Triban 5) frame, with the Triban 3A groupset on it, and will cost £369.99. This is a special edition made specifically for the UK market.

I saw this on Tuesday instore

Sorry to hijack this but I notice some comparisons with the Tesco deal... are there any good mountain bikes for around £100?

I need a bike for getting to work and back (less than 2 miles) but like the idea of getting something versatile too. I haven't rode a bike for around 15 years so didn't want to get anything too expensive, until I'm 100% sure I'll actually use the thing.

Does anybody know for definite whether this is £299 in-store or £249 (nationwide)?

Thanks.

don't take a chance instore and get it delivered for £265

To the guy who wants a mountain bike for £100, try the Rockrider 5 (£109) same shop as this

not really, if you do get one at this price, don't get one with any suspension (front or rear) as it will just add weight and not be even slightly good for anything!

Reckon this price might expire at midnight ?

PS: The Rockrider is about 3 KG lighter than that Tesco bike.

Flatmate has a rockrider 5.0 which was 110. built solid, everything works very well. Comparing it with Argos bikes I used to buy is like comparing a chinese-built imitation hot wheels toy car against a Volvo.

If i didn't have a back injury, I;d buy both btwin bikes mentioned

Okay cool.

By the way, is the Rockrider 5.0 really that good, as I did a quick Google search and came across this review. See here (Just don't watch the video though, complete waste of time)

I think that's for the older 2011 model, but I'm not sure. Sorry I don't know anything about bikes really, as I'm a complete bike noob.

awesome bike. buy it now. crazy at this price!!

This is one of the best road bikes you can get for under £500 so is an absolute bargain at the price above.

Wow, been wanting one of these for ages and they had a 54 so bought ready for the London to Brighton!! Thanks op, very happy!!

I bought mine when they first came out. Red in 57. Great bike for the price and now even cheaper for last few they want to clear. You will not find a better bike to get into road cycling for the same price. Go for it.

Anyone who is wavering about spending a little more than they were hoping, my advise is go for it, you'll soon forget about a little extra once you've enjoyed the bike..

The Rockrider 5.0 has good build quality for the Price (£109), you can pay £249 for the next model up.

It 1st came to my attention on then Gadget Show who rated it highly.

Has to be worth £109 for occasional use.

Cheers

Size 60 come on get in stock!

Great price

Great bike for the price! Heat from me!

Just bought Triban 3 54 in Sheffield plenty in stock, fantastic bike goes like a rocket!

Excellent bike for the money with abysmally designed down shifters. Still well worth it if you can live with the only fault.

Im a Triban 7a owner and I absolutely love it. For the money and spec its pretty much unbeatable.

Great price for a well recommended bike. Check out the online reviews
