Bubba Thermos style travel mug 20oz /592ml £4.00 @ Asda Instore & Online

2013 design, much better build quality than the similar Thermos branded ones IMO.
Keeps hot drinks hot for up to 6 hours (2010 model 3 hours) and cold items cold for up to 12 hours.

Handy bottle opener incorporated under handle.

Online shows Blue, but Black available instore also.

These were around £12 on Amazon just before Christmas ( I know as I nearly bought one)

Newly redesigned in 2013 with matching embossed logo, matching trim on the handle and lid.
Your Bubba comes fully equipped. 20oz capacity with Bubba FAT dual wall insulation for long-lasting icy coldness.
2013 model keeps hot items hot for up to 6 hours (2010 model 3 hours) and cold items cold for up to 12 hours.
Because Bubba KEGs have a genuine stainless steel band around the outside, they are not microwave safe. However, Bubbas dual-wall insulation keeps food and beverages hot for longer than most beverage containers and beverages/foods may not require re-heating.
Convenient bottle opener built into the handle. SANS BPA Free.

Good deal.

But this is the normal price for this at ASDA. I know as I bought one from ASDA back in November.:)

I think its been this price for a long time.
It does keep things very cold for a long time and also I find popping a bit of boiling water in it first helps prolong the heat of the tea or coffee.

Definately never had it in my 2 locals (Dundee) prior to christmas, and on searching online I didn't come across it, specifically looked for this one as a couple of guys in work rave about them, the wife actually picked me up a garish turqoise thermos one and I returned it and spotted this (was £1 cheaper too), thought it was a new line for Asda, if not my bad.

Nice tip re popping some hot water 1st, I use this technique with all flasks/travel mugs, 1/2 fill with boiling water, close lid for 2 minutes then fill with desired beverage, lasts a tad longer.

Got mine in store each time in asda for 4 quid, even still. Good price for a good mug. Heat

I got 2 of them at this price last year, great big mug not so good at keeping things hot though

oos :-(

pre-warming a flask (heating the walls basically) so your actual drink doesn't immediately suffer from heat being drawn was common practice in a previous time of sense, nowadays sadly it is on the whole taken for granted that 6 hrs means 6 hours by means of simply chucking something hot in, ...however you cannot mess around with physics (_;)

If you can always keep an eye out for the stainless inner & outer designs, as, compared to flavour staining of plastics (onion soup flavour coffee anyone)!? ..stainless steel does not absorb material deposits "taint" ..so be selective & rinse straight away once you have finished your hot drink / soup, ..taint is hard to expel from plastics, baking soda may help tone it down though.

Tis a big capacity handled beast though! ..very handy in cold weather, nice find OP.

nice find does it leak though can you put it in your back with confidence it wont leak

Does it leak? That's what I want to know, as stunman9883 asked!

Already answered

There's a small hole in the lid which I presume is to stop the build up of gas from fizzy drinks/beer, or steam from hot drinks, so if you knock it over, it leaks through this hole. The lid itself fits very tight, so as long as it's kept upright it's fine.

Thank you! 100% answer!

These are massive, took one on an all inclusive holiday and got told off for filling with beer!
