Buy the lot at this price, from every CEX and start up your very own Home Movie blu-ray rental business.. surely that would work.. or would it....

I can't believe I'm defending CEX, but the charge per item is because in most cases each film is from a different store - these films aren't sent from a central warehouse but from whatever store has them in stock and gets the order thru to process.
In theory every film could be sent from a different branch.

If you mean p&p, I think you're right.

Yeah, so its still largely pointless.
£15 per 10 items is a little silly.
I do have a big stash of padded envelopes from when I ordered quite allot of Blu-rays from CEX before this new postage rule though. Come in handy

I love bluray movies, do they have the one with that woman from Dallas?, think her names Debby or something. Don't tell the wife!

It was pretty good when could order 10+ discs and only paid £2.50 p&p.
Those were the days.

Before that you could buy as many as you wanted for £2.50 postage.
The sales they had on DVD/Blu-ray kinda made them implement the £2.50 and 10 items only rule as people used it allot when the sales came.
This new rule....well...I can't see how it makes them more money over-all, surely it reduces sales online.

I think so. I haven't used Cex since the £1.50 p&p per item came in.
That's some mark up by CeX, they buy for 1p and sell for 50p
Great post Mrs. W. Itch!

Someone outed me, one detective @dreadzone101 so now out and proud
30 of those I got from Poundland when they were still a pound.
Rats - I want a movie cheap, but I'm not really a movie person, so despite going through a billion things I'm struggling to find anything I want to see. Since I don't tend to watch movies, I don't know what's a good movie. So I don't want them....

I guess I'm saving myself money, but I want a blu-ray for 50p.... sniffle....

Feel my pain... it's rough being me!
How do you reserve for collection in store? When I go to checkout the only option is pay. Like someone else said, I added £7.00 of blu rays to my basket but they want £21.00 for delivery! How on earth can 14 blu rays = £21.00! I just sold 12 DVDs in a job lot on ebay and postage was £2.95 for a small parcel :/

That's their way of telling you they don't want your tat they can't get rid of clogging up their stores! They're very good for things there's a demand for.

I see. Don't suppose you know whether it adjusts for movies that do come from the same store, do you? Or is it just a flat £1.50 across the board?

Would be good, in that case, for it to tell me what stores they are from so I can buy in bulk from one location.

It doesn't. I doubt that the allocation to stores is made until after the order is fully processed and ready to be fulfilled.

I remember the days, I even remember the days of VHS rental stops, then DVD rental shops... as for online rental Amazon purchased Lovefilm when they went bust and all members included myself was automatically sent over but Amazon was expected as to pay more money for the same service, cheeky sods, I cancelled my online rental service from then, I think its still popular with some members though, I use to get 3-6 DVDs & Blu-Rays a week thrown through my letterbox.

As for CEX they mop up old DVDs, Games & Blu-Rays for odd few pennies, personally I don't like CEX simply because of the amount they are willing to buy from you and the profit they put on top... I have been offered 50p and 10p in the past for BRAND NEW sealed blu-rays, once I told them to stick there 10p & 50p I would rather give them away which I did... I understand they must make a profit but they take the mickey.

Still you can come across the occasional bargain in there, not that I have ever purchased much, but did come across the new "Murder on the Orient Express" and a nice "Batman" Steelbook for £3 each, discs was a little worse for ware though but no issues watching them.

Still great post heat added.

Just tell your Partner you're off to the CEX shop to get some movies, see if they lose it.
These are not AAA rated moves are they ??
Terrible, if you buy 10 blurays for a fiver, it's another £20 on top for postage... Waste of time

Not sure about that, but sure I saw something about a window cleaner.
Yeah, this was quite tempting until they tried to charge me £30 for posting a few blu rays. To heck with that.
I've switched to another company for music and Bluray material now these scamming postage prices are in force.
The £50 free postage only applies to a single item as it didn't work when I tried to order up £50's worth of DVD's which came out at £60-£65 just for postage. I don't think so..

Even if you order a item above £50 the other 9 items will incur delivery charges.
Its so stupid lol.
Which company? the only other which is comparable is MusicMagpie? (i've ordered quite allot from them on the 2 for £3 and 2 for £5 sales.
