THIS IS FOR BUDGET BUILDERS!! IF YOU HAVE BETTER PARTS IN YOUR BUILD, JUST BE COURTEOUS, OTHERS MIGHT NOT HAVE THAT LUXURY.

I've been seeking an upgrade for my LGA775 Motherboard // E5800 combo, and I saw a deal earlier that had expired.

Anyway long story short, this will get you on the LGA1155 socket type with a bunch of additional components.

No GPU, but you can source one pretty cheap for this build. I will be using the components to play (and stream) games like Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 3.

If you're toxic, leave them comments in your mind. #DontFeedTheTrolls

Nice one for less than £60. As you say, I'm sure others have 'better' builds, but value for money counts!
Amazing value really. Will run Windows for basic tasks better than new budget lapdogs.
No 1080 for that price? Cold

Would Redtube run on it without buffering??

If I was to buy this what else would I need to buy to be able to run simple apps like pokerstars.
With a cheap GPU for 4K this could be a decent HTPC / streaming box project

Pokerstars runs fine on an integrated GPU, this would be fine straight out of the box.

How big is this computer? Is it small?
Ah shoot. Just spent £80 on a similar spec machine.

Heat added.
Can I have your old 775?? (assuming you live anywhere near me, postage would be extreme!!

I play an ancient game that runs best on old iron; stick a cheap quad core Xeon on that board and it will do a super job.
awesome! add a low profile gtx750ti or 1030 and you have a 1080p low 720p high gaming rig! I did that with a 3rd gen i5 office pc when the 750ti came out a few years ago and it still games strong eg fortnite no probs

Great deal!

Pick up a used HD7850 for about £35 - £45 on Ebay and you'll have a system capable of playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on medium at 720.

something like this 1030 low profile

will 1050 low profile work ? if so much better

should work as 75w so takes from motherboard

AMD's version is 460 or 560

that is 130w - motherboard only gives 75w. presume the power supply has no 6 or 8 pin connector?

What cards would give 4k on the cheap?
4gb upgrade to 8gb would also be nice

I think for 4k video streaming there would be quite a few options (even more recent Intel on-board graphics can handle 4k). For 4k gaming, there aren't any I'm aware of.
Reckon I can run the Witcher 3 at full 60fps(cheeky)
Have bought refurb PC's for work and they have been very good purchases. There are quite a few companies selling computers like this for not that much money

check this guy out! got xcom 2 running on a i3 integrated laptop for me!

he is using 540m laptop graphics - a 750ti or 1030 above would thrash that

but the integrated graphics in the i3 should be a lot worse

Not a gamer, just for movies etc. Any suggestions that I can look at? Can build computers but not up on components so any help is appreciated thanks.

250 watt psu and quoted in link above by Hootwo to run at 83 to 85 % efficiency with the cpu drawing 55watts.

That sounds fair to me for a 1050.
I currently use an old windows machine with a 1st gen i7 and decent-ish GPU to act as a Plex media server

I wonder if this would work better (my current hardware is getting old, I need to be able to add things lik eusb 3.0 ports and cant do that on my current machine)
If you find the CPU being a bit of a bottleneck for your intended purpose upgrades are readily available from CEX, can get up to an i5 for about £20 CEX. Or add some extra RAM for cheap CEX.

True, not sure what PSUs these machines have but I'd have thought it would power it with an adaptor. It's a good point though.

EDIT - Just saw the post about 250W. No chance then! Cheers for pointing out. Could always upgrade the PSU, but then what would be the point. Might as well spend the money on a lower powered GPU.

Stick a 15in CRT monitor on top of that and paint the whole thing beige and i am back in 1994 with my first PC. lol
could this be hackintoshed?

Silly person
Could I play WoW on this?
For those who intend to upgrade:
spec sheet: (think someone posted this above already)

motherboard (I think):
sp.ts.fujitsu.com/dms…pdf

TLDR: 16GB DDR3 (2 x8GB) , can take a LP graphics card (you would be advised to stick to one that can take its power from the board (75W, ie without additional power connectors) , some CPUs

Temperature wise (if adding GPU, CPUs) - I would advise a DIY (cardboard) shroud to help the CPU fan pull from outside the case (and consider adding a exhaust case fan)

It is small form factor too.

I got an i5 viglen office pc. Great with 750ti. Tried to put my rx 470 in it thinking could run it from external psu but the gpu clashes with the memory sticks. So think only low peofile cards will work

Multi core performance equivalent or slightly slower than i7 920

Great, just what I've been looking for. Thanks OP.

Stick a £25 SSD in it and it'll feel faster than a £400 rotating-disk build. Perfect for people who only ever use their PCs for web, email, and the occasional Office document.

My 1994 PC had 4mb of RAM and a 320mb HDD. Had a beast of a 486 CPU though.
