Yes, I have an apartment in the next beach along which is not so crazy and ok for a normal way of living! If we want a night out then we go to pattaya. Just avoid the Russians when they are tired and drunk.
Yes I have been. Not my cup of tea. It's basically a speedy resort.plenty of other places to go in Thailand if Pattaya is not your thing.
Very good price, I think for that part of the world, particularly with with premium econonmy. Many airlines now allow 2x23kg bags even in economy for instance ANA. But the other features, more seat room, better meals are good. But I always fly to Japan, I haven't checked the flights but the thing to watch out for, I think, is a really long stop over, sometimes this can be 15 hours or more. Up to 2-3 hours is bearable but what do you do in 15 hours! You need to check both ways.
Is it yours? And have you been?
Have you been?
hmm, What's the difference between them?
Lol when did you go last, a decade ago?!. Can't go anywhere without a strip of American brands everywhere.
lols...depends what you eat when not in india :)
Would be tempted, but you cant get any decent food in india!
no no no no way!!! £200!!!!! no way!! how is that possible? very happy for you though!
Thank You very much for your reply. I asked at our Drs surgery for a travel consultation and she told me to come back in January.. we have been given a list of potential vaccinations but with some being low/no risk we need to choose whether to get them all or just stick with the main ones :) Thanks again for taking the time to respond, your info is really useful :)
My advice would be to go to your local GP - ask for an appointment either to see the nurse or GP specifically for travel jabs and advice. You'd definitely have to make sure that she would be up to date with her regular vaccinations (tetanus, polio, TB etc) and on top of that, diphtheria, typhoid, hep a and probably meningitis. I think I would get advice on Japanese Encephalitis (B) - I didn't for my trip. I probably wouldn't especially have Hep B for such a trip (but I already had it for other trips) but again, your clinician might advise differently. As for malaria, there isn't a lot of it about in the coastal areas of the three smaller states but inland it is present. I took doxycycline for my trip but again, proper medical advice should be heeded. Rabies - if you get bitten then you have to go for treatment immediately anyway. I hear it is more common in Kalimantan (Indonisia) than Sabah / Sarawak I'm sure it will be an absolutely amazing trip.
Hi, can anyone who's been to Borneo recommend what vaccinations you would recommend please? My daughter is going on an 18 day long expedition in July and we need to arrange getting her vaccinated. Thank You
Three people? That would be a challenge!
The last and only time I visited Borneo was in 1964 when I was 20 years old I was posted to 99 Gurkha Infantry Brigade the things I remember were sleeping in the jungle been shot at by insurgents and jungle sores I found that when we came upon a village the locals were so friendly and the girls were quiet obliging Oh to be young again
£183 for LHR - OTP Business Class return? Is that a joke? Please state the dates this fare is available
Ba business from London is 183 gbp
Bucuresti OTP is well connected to London LHR, LTN, LGW, STN and all parts of the UK but its not cheap to fly there. Wizzair, Blueair, BA as well as TAROM fly direct but you are looking at a minimum of 200 GBP return. Peak/holiday time can be much higher.
In what class
Anyone know what China Southern's policy is in relation to allocating seats at checking rather than paying for seat selection in advance. Will they allocate consecutive seats or like Ryanair give middle seats randomly located
What's the latest over there. The last I heard is that American are advancing and they may win the war soon.
Not sure if I'd fly China Southern, or any Chinese airline for that matter - too many horror stories going around ie pilots smoking on flights, etc. Haven't voted though but if people could chime in with their experiences that'd be good.
I have just come back from Dubai having used GOTOGATE and had no problems whatsoever with them and was very impressed with their updates on changes to our flights. I think it's the same as every business you can have good experiences and bad. I have just looked at some of the negative reviews and when you continue scrolling through the issues are resolved or it becomes apparent in a large number of cases that it is not a problem with Gotogate or Budgetair but the airlines themselves. There might be some truth in booking direct with the airline being safer in the dvent things might not go to plan but you can obviously pay significantly more for that reassurance. Not everyone can afford to do that particularly if there are multiple seats being purchased.
Hi and thanks for posting this. However, first of all, the very first budgetair link takes me to their search page with no details of the flights, so no idea of those. Secondly and most importantly, everyone who wants to avoid risks should completely stay well away from budgetair and gotogate and all those kind of travel agents of ill repute. Here is a search from Trip Advisor that has over 200 THREADS of complaints about budgetair. Yes threads, not posts. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/SearchForums?q=budgetair Do yourselves a favour and pay a bit more to either book directly with the airlines (preferred option) or else go to a more reputable larger online agent such as Expedia. Don't take my word for it, just click that link or else go to trip Advisor and search for some of these company names and read the horror stories.
Wow. Thank you for this! Really appreciate how easy you’ve made it with the links! (highfive)
Scrappy mate. Sort yourself before you comment like that.
Not about this deal but it seams that people are ready to fly cheap with any company, even riding a broom.
FYI Inverness airport is designated as part of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. It's is therefore exempt from APD. This is up to £515 per person.
Anyone that wants to avoid apd.
Whoever set up that route was pretty optimistic.
Well, that's a deal I wasn't expecting.
The, Get Deal, button has the link as: //wwE.budgetair.co.uk instead of //wwW.budgetair.co.uk A mod. needs to edit it.
A fair response, it's up to the buying public to do their own research. :-)
It must be the HUKD affiliate link as I can access the site fine going to their page direct. Direct on the airline website prices vary from £312-£330 at the lowest. I have used Budget Air a fair bit, they use to always be the cheapest by a fair bit and always had etickets even on some glitch fares like sub £250 flights to Peru. These aren't errors, just cheap flights so you shouldn't have issues...
Its not trolling, its the listing sounds like it is a price direct from an airline called Budgetair, where it is in fact from a 3rd party supplier who does not have great reviews and feedback on the internet. It may well be a fantastic deal, but particularly with travel deals it must be clear who you are dealing with. All IMHO, of course. Added, the link even causes my Anti virus to block access.
Love how people take negative comments as trolls (lol) , fairies can't take critisism anymore.
Going via Skyscanner and using BudgetAir as the link works out cheaper than direct and using the code!
my ryanair flight glitched
If you manage it, book your flights individually they apply the discount to the total not the individual ticket cost
Which airlines does it work with? I tried with Tap Portugal and it didn't work
They just cancelled my booking :/
Sorry, gotta vote cold. A £75 with discount flight through Budget Air is only £21 through the airline direct. They must be making a killing charging so much extra.
Fake. Birmingham to Dublin flight on Ryanair website for 14th of December cost £9,99 OW while on BudgetAir with a "discount" you have to pay £13,85!
I've used them the last 2 years but after going through Skyscanner, but you can book direct with them too and obviously save a further £15 today.
Flights on 2nd March-16th AirFrance £268 but 17 hours or with BA £272 13 hours,great spot op
apologies budgetair link does not work please check out the deal via this link: http://flyhappy.club/en-GB/flights/#/result?originplace=BRUS&destinationplace=SFO&outbounddate=2016-03-03&inbounddate=2016-03-16&cabinclass=Economy&adults=1&children=0&infants=0Dates 3 March return 15 March[image missing]
link not working for me. What are the dates and the airline please?
Good price. Get a cheap Eurostar over and make a longer trip of it. Heat added :)
Yes. Very very beautiful. Omg lol
Read this off another forum for those interested in travel to Iran: "According to Gem TV as an Farsi television The latest news by this date as 13/12-2015 MASTER CARD is active in Iran" I have been there both in 2007 & 1994; visited Tehran including the Northern suburbs in addition to Qom, Mashhad, beaches of Tabriz (inc. some really cool late night parties). It is a vibrant place. British accent + Iranian women = :P
Plus, Iranian women are beautiful
I think its one way only :)
Great deal but dont forget to factor in the cost of a visa too :-(
Cold. I'll be at the Cambridge Folk Festival. oO
Quite possibly - just a bad experience and could have been a one off. For me, once bitten on this one, and although the price is good, I'd still not use them again.
Is there a reason why you're comparing with 2 adult tickets? Would those same dates not give you £375 return for one person or do you have to buy 2 adult tickets to qualify
It's not right if it's like pork but lamb...
In NY now, BA flight was £450 return from Aberdeen via heathrow, end August, early sept flights seemed to be about the cheapest. Weather is very hot and humid.
Hi, I sent you a private message.
rachelandgromit - did you have a chance to look for any deals for the South America? Unfortunately I can't find any for less than £800pp now so your help would be much appreciated, I intend to book this weekend. No problem if you are away and sorry for bothering you. Cheers DD96118
rachelandgromit, After losing in negotiations with my wife we have now decided to spend 3 weeks in South America rather than the USA. We'll be flying in/out of Cusco, Peru and Rio, Brazil same dates (departing 13th August, returning 3rd September). We don't mind which city we fly into and can fly out of anywhere in Europe. If you can help that would be great, the best price I can find is GBP700 exc flights from UK to the relevant European city (another GBP200). If you can help I would really appreciate it (when you are back). thanks!
Great, thank you so much!
I'm away at the moment but I will have a look at some point and PM you.
I actually did this trip last week thanks to avoint. Was a great find and i look forward to more deals you find like this. Much appreciated and thanks.
So basically ..the UK is a rip off
how long does the transfer need to be in London to ensure you can get your bag before it goes onto Oslo?
I have used BudgetAir for flights to HKG a few times. They take some time to book tickets as I believe someone has to manually process it as opposed to online real time. But then they may have changed in the last month!
Did this myself last year, direct with BA (anyone used budgetair before?) and no they dont want you to get off at London so dont tell them Just say you need your baggage to deliver a present to someone in London. They know what your doing, but cant be arsed. We didnt get charged the last leg.
Thanks OP - planning a trip to Beijing for next April! Of finnair, Lufthansa and Swiss air can anyone recommend which are the best/most comfortable? I haven't flown with any of these airlines previously!
It was on the Google ITA website but is no longer available :(
where did you get a ticket for that price?
We flew SAS this year open jaw Stockholm--Beijing-Copenhagen for £205. We spent time in Sweden/Lapland for Valentines day and got to see the Northern Lights and Copenhagen after. It was a great trip but yes the flight was very quiet and Beijing airport was near empty! I don't think SAS have the full lie flat seats in business. Their economy was pretty good too.
Hot! Easter holiday dates sounds good not too hot at that time in hk around 25c to 28c.
That's a good deal too becky - I guess it just depends on time of year you want to travel. Remember you'll need to pay resort fees on top.
Just booked 6 nights in Vegas staying at Flamingo hotel, flying Virgin direct flights from London Gatwick, November, £513pp. Through lastminute.com. A much better deal?
There is nowhere quite like it is there!
didn't price for two, don't know why. Love Vegas, just got back
Errr I don't know. Flights -£348.07 x 2 = £696.14 Hotel - £398.91 Total - £1095.95 Per person - £547.52 Less cash back No resort fees
Rachelandgromit, Thank you so so much for your posts to date, I have been reading them with interest and now I finally have the leave to do my dream west coast USA road trip. I would be extremely grateful if you could have quick look for any open jaw or otherwise cheapest flights. We intend to travel the stretch between Portland (or Seattle) and LA (or San Diego). Very flexible and don't mind which direction we go in (south to north or north to south). Our dates are outbound on 13th or 14th August, returning on 2nd-4th September 2015. I'm based in London so can fly out of any European destination. Hope you can help as at the moment the flights are coming in at GBP800+ each making the cost of the trip over-budget and not in the shortlist.. Thank you so so much again. Cheers DD96118
How do people find these 'deals' ? Do you just search for wherever is cheap to fly to and then see where you can fly from there?
All I've done is correct factually inaccurate information which has been posted by somebody who clearly does not understand what the original fare was all about.
calm calm down you 2 lot of faff either way to get to oslo
Please read posts 7 and 13 It's not an open jaw flight, it's a multi city flight, with 3 separate journeys. The second journey is SFO to LHR on BA 286. It will take you to LHR and nowhere else. Irrespective of where your final destination is, when you get to LHR you will have no choice but to go through passport control, collect your luggage, clear customs and walk out of the airport.
Those south African savages will kill you if you go. They dislike foreigners with a passion. Country is full of bigots. Cold
Yes, Kenya are frequently sub £300, have been for a while.
nice find 8)
There are also some very interesting solutions to Kilimanjaro/Tanzania too!
