Wow I contemplated buying one only last Saturday for £15... Destiny is real!!!

BUDVA yum yum yum only problem Morrison is about 10 miles from me & in the past never had the deals I went for! This time will call the store 1st.
Nice find Op HEAT ADDED for this bargain deal

This is the only time the £/ltr drops below or the same as the price for just buying cans/bottles.

I guess you could argue these are more fun if you're easily amused.

think I'll stick up on this for Christmas. cheers.

stock even

This is too good to be true! Defo get some from "Christmas" not the next few weekends, honest...

Finally I have no excuse to get one but don't you have to drink it in 4 days or does keep longer than they say ?

Does it have a ring pull on the top?

It has a pull up cap on top to it to increase the pressure, which brings the fizz back, but yeah they last no longer than 3-4 days

or if you love 3 pints of froth on an evening

GHOST SHIP! HEAT ADDED.....

Never tried budvar, shame they don't do Stella/Budweiser or Amstel.

bought one for the grandads birthday yesterday it worked a treat. they had a Stella one in morrisons also but more expensive

Budvar is far better than any of those. Original Bud from Czech republic. At a tenner this is a treat.

Roughly £1.11 a pint.
Heat added

Brilliant! Using a voucher I have from my more card I'll end up with 2 of these for £15, was looking for a way to spend £20 in store before Sunday! (already maxed out on spirits) Cheers OP!

Fantastic deal. Thanks OP

my local adnams shop sells ghost ship for £17 a keg so ultra hot from me

Morrisons have the Stella keg but it's £18.

£2/ltr vs Stella in Asda at £1.52/ltr in 30 handy size mini-kegs that retain freshness through to Christmas

Not quite the same tho, if giving it as a gift!

Where are folks getting the idea that Ghost Ship is also going to be included in this deal?. I can't see any mention of this in the Op and the link just takes you to the search results for "keg". By this logic the Hobgoblin would be in the deal...unless I'm missing something here?.

I've just been to Morrison and they've just put a display of Stella kegs (5l) and 2 Stella glasses for 18quid......not deal of the day, but get this - it's 5% (might actually be imported - was in a hurry so wasn't able to check).
I stopped buying it when they cloned 4.8, but tempted to drop one of these into the fridge

It's imported from Belgium and it's 5%. Picked up a couple at the weekend, each keg comes with 2 'the chalice' glasses, that are great. The whole lot makes a great gift. Says the beer keeps fresh for 30 days once opened. Ideal for storing in the garage or shed where it's cold, and pop to pull a pint. Supposedly a draught experience

Any experts tell me which, more commen, lager Budvar and also Bitburger most resemble (tatsewise)?
Cheers.

Good deal

I don't quite understand the question, but if you want a proper, decent tasting lager/pils from a supermarket look out for Brooklyn Lager (expensive, never on offer), Samuel Adams Boston Lager or Pilsner Urquell. There are some other good ones but they are rarer and not in all supermarkets.

No idea, but Bitburger is THE best lager (imho). If they had that in a 5kg keg for £10 I'd be all over it like a tramp on chips.

It's the speckled hen like handpull or is it gassy like it's bottled?

Hey all. Genuine question (not meaning to disrespect the deal ). The normal price I pay for 4 X 500ml can of Speckled hen is £4.50 (£5 at the most sometime but sometimes £4 too). So that's £1.125 per 500ml. This deal is £1 per 500ml. Its a bit cheaper but nothing I'm going to rush out and buy. Why is this so hot? Genuine question as I suspect people might just like the novelty of a keg, maybe as a Christmas present but in terms of value for money its not really that good. Sorry I feel like a party pooper ;-). Genuinely interested. Thanks!

Of the three I mentioned above only Samuel Adams is brewed under license in the U.K, the other 2 are imported. But even the U.K brewed (Shepherd Neame) Sam Adams is excellent.

You are right about Japanese beers, unfortunately. Pretty much the only way to enjoy one of their better ones is to travel to Japan.

Budweiser Budvar is a great Czech lager. In a different league to the usual supermarket Carling/Bud/Fosters pish. However I find these kegs end up giving you a lot of froth at the start and very little (if you have any left) the next day.

Hmmm you're sounding a little rude, I thought it was pretty clear. Does Budvar (and Bitburger) taste anything like fosters or Heineken or Amstel or San Miguel etc...?
