Long since established these are generally rubbish, ice up easy, noisy, break down.

Yes there's a few lucky ones but the refrigeration unit is very cheap and prone to stop working. (Yes both versions, the one that is labelled as a "cooler" and this which is labelled as a "fridge")

Good price though so not voting.

All stores that sell this fridge. They are selling them off because the new one is silver apparently.

Have a stella one from 4 years ago, still going strong.

EDIT: Sorry, got 2! Other is in the shed but only gets used in the summer.

Got my husband this about a year ago (it's silver). He thinks it's great and has not had any problems with it.

I've got a stella one as well, it does ice up at the back abit, which shows that its doing its job.
Have some heat

What on earth is the point of chilling drinks down to 1°C, at which temperature it would be almost impossible to taste anything. It seems the advertising hype has worked though, and people chill drinks to death without a second thought.

There is a dial on the back for adjusting the temperature. I found that putting it on about half was more than sufficient for my uses.

They should pay us to use these things covered with advertising. Why do people let themselves be used like this wearing huge logos too. Why people want to recreate the advertising hell that is public space in their own homes is beyond me. If you don't like plain fridges then put some nice artwork on the side not huge corporate logos.

This isn't me having a go at anyone here it's just a peeve of mine.

These things use a ton of electricity too. Which given the rising costs of energy is a no-no for a lot of people.

Great for all those that want to say "I drink **** poor watery beer"

Ours was definitely more 'chiller' than 'fridge' but if that's all you need...

Put a few cans in on the medium setting and they are well cold! Chuffed so far. If it lasts a few years I will be more than happy at this price and it is right next to me

So which store was this in again????

Should be all stores that have the black model. Manager said they are getting rid of the black ones so they can put silver ones out with all the 'summer/garden' bits.

I got a Smirnoff one free by asking for it to use at our village fete. Diageo couriered it with a load of money-off vouchers, we use it 4 hours a year for charity and it keeps my beer cool the rest of the time.

None in the Calcot Reading store, nor the Taplow store in Maidenhead,

Will update tomorrow if i manage to find one....

People should note that this is a proper compressor refrigerator, like the one in your kitchen. and not a thermoelectric "peltier" cooler like the ones in small electric cool boxes and mini fridges.

Vapour-compression refrigeration is MUCH, MUCH more energy efficient than peltier cooling and most peltier coolers do not have a thermostat which means they will just run 24/7. They are great for short term use (eg a few hours, maybe a day) but not longer as they will generate a lot of condensation inside the box. I ran one for about 48 hours straight with a bottle of coke in and when I took it out it was partially frozen.

As said, these Budweiser mini fridges have a thermostat control so you can set the desired temperature. about 4c is good for beer, 2c for chilled food and 7c for produce.

Not sure what the advertising issue is, its a fridge. Only you see it, its not like you are wearing a shirt with 'bench' stamped across it and walking through town. The sides cant be seen unless you leave it on the side, I forgot what branding was on mine.

Do you have the product code for this?

banbury still had a few in stock and i paid them a visit

happy days

Yeah, the guy is just being a moron. You end up seeing straight past the logo on the front after a while. Hell, most people would buy it because it's nicely branded.

Can I keep milk in this? I share a kitchen with 20 other people and would like a little fridge for my room that I can keep milk in and the odd microwave meal. Any ideas?

Of course, it's just a fridge. We've got one in our caravan which we have in the awning when we're there. It gives extra fridge room as the caravan ones are so small.

Hope to pick on of these up for the summer, is this price confirmed?

A few years ago I had a Stella branded version of this same fridge (it certainly looked the ame anyway). It always kept drinks nice and cold and lasted the 3 years I had it but I do remember the instructions saying you shouldn't keep food in it. I'm guessing they didnt trust it to be that brilliant at keeping the temperature the same all the time. That sort of thing doesnt matter with beer but not sure I'd risk chicken or anything like that.

Pretty easy to tell if milk has gone off though so would be fine I'm sure.

For anyone who is interested I just got the dimensions etc from another site.
