I've got the CD. Documentary will be well worth a viewing. Thanks for the heads up.
First shown: 1999. I think I remember seeing it back then. I have the CD as well, but I've not played it in a long while. It's a classic.

I think that some of the musicians have passed since the documentary, but the music is timeless

I'd be surprised if there was many of them left, they were pretty old at the time.
If there was one thing to spoil the CD, I think it was Ry Cooder's Hawaiian style slide guitar. It just seemed to me to not belong on there. But without him the record wouldn't have been made.
The sequel by Wim Wenders is on Amazon Prime for anyone interested in catching up with what happened in the 15 years interim. One of the best music documentaries ever made.
Update price to £150.50 at the very least and could someone shed light to why content from subscription services (ill include this as that) are being posted and allowed? Doesnt make one ounce of sense to me.

Maybe it shouldn't be allowed but I'm glad it has. I've been wanting to watch this for a while. Thanks OP.

Also thanks for the heads up for the follow up on Amazon Prime.

God bless rulebreakers.

Because a large proportion of the population have a TV licence. It's certainly more useful than someone posting a reduced item in their local supermarket which happens all the time here. As with anything like this, if it doesn't meet your individual criteria for a deal it's easier to ignore it than moan about it.

I was careful to make no mention of "Free" in the original post (I have been here for a while)

Exactly, are we now going to post every free movie coming out on iPlayer, Netflix etc?
Love the album, didn't know there a documentary so will check it out, cheers.

For those into music related documentaries I can heartily recommend Searching For Sugar Man for those that haven't seen it, amazing watch
Many thanks for the heads up op. For those who have a surround sound capable player, the DVDA of this is well worth purchasing Although would need to possibly look at the offers on 'Discogs' or Ebay, as can be hard to find.( sorry if a bit of a specialist area)

Yes lots do have a license but that is the cost of this so called deal. With literally thousands of these non deals, if this is allowed without any question when the site is over run with them what grounds would we have to complain then? (I'm sure you would "moan" if this was to happen)
