Been using Buffalo products for 2 yrs plus and zero problems plus decent warranty and no issues with replacements (done it once on 12mths+ drive).

Nice to see they are expanding range and added some rugged portable drive- may consider when it hits £50-ish.

Yeah I agree. I'm using Buffalo backup drives since 2008 and no issues so far.

2TB USB 2.0 drive bought in early 2008 still works (although I retired that drive in 2015, still using it occasionally to retrieve old backups). That's the last "Made In Japan" item I manage to purchase.

I bought a Toshiba 2tb portable a few years ago for £60 usb3.
Mine arrived. Next day delivery. Biggest surprise... it's made in japan.
