Doesn't Vista do this as standard anyway? Every time I go to access one of my internal drives I hear it turn on, then spin up.

I'm assuming because it's *desktop* that it has to be powered by an AC adapter etc?

If its like one of the older style ones I have then yes it will be powered by mains.

Am I the only one who thought this was an Xbox 360 Elite when I looked at the picture?
