If amazon are goping to stop these then they will do it regardless of numbers

If I get confirmation of it being picked and sent for delivery I will be buying a lot more (all on my amazon credit card)

Great deal at least half the price I have seen one of these before, I have ordered one. I would also say people should not order multiples of this.

Amazon is well known for cancelling misprice orders. It makes it unlikely you or anyone will receive the deal if you order 4 of them....

Incidentally have people gone for first class shipping on this to try and get it processed quicker?

I think this is a great drive at a great (mis)price! I bought one last year at the same price (but only 250gb) from Amazon (same - Buffalo)

This is nonsense

Damn you HUKD! More money down the pan!

You can get iPoints with this. They're not great, as you can only trade them in for stuff, and not hard cash. But it's better than nowt.

just you continue doing what your doing buy 10 buy 20 !!!

THEY WILL SPOT IT QUICKER IF PEOPLE ORDER MULTIPLES OF SAID ITEM

do you get it !!!

i guess we can all forget about getting ours since dc2447 and others like him screwed it for us

ebay is calling

You can get mutualpoints for amazon.co.uk purchases as well (themutual.net). But not many points though...

Not at all. Amazon are well known for doing this. They can cancel all outstanding orders if its been incorrectly priced and Amazon do this frequently.

Its going to get spotted much more quickly if people are ordering multiples. I dont know why I bother its like talking to a brick wall

admin moderators is there any chance of banning folks who say they have ordered 3 or 4 or more of items surely this isn't in the true spirit of hotukdeals as a whole

This quite simply isn't true. I have been in this situation before quite a few times. Amazon won't bat an eyelid on quantities such as 4 or even 10. They are a huge company with a huge daily turnover coming up to christmas - little purchases like this won't hit anyones radar.

But if you are looking for someone to blame if they don't honor orders - feel free to use me.

I don't mind.

2.5% cashback (pre-VAT) from Rpoints, maximum of £3.50 back per transaction on electricals.

Unfortunately, many people think that if they CAN, they SHOULD. I've seen this happen on HUKD so many times before, and people still don't get it. I think that perhaps the only way to make off with these good deals is not to post them in the first place.

At the very least, Amazon usually give those affected some vouchers when they cancel their orders...sigh...

That's against their T&C if I am not mistaken.

everybody likes a bargain but some people just dont get it, GREED almost always spoils it for everyone

As far as I know there is nothing in the Amazon Affiliate terms and conditions which says you cannot order through your own affiliate link.

I could be wrong though...

I am an affiliate and the last time I checked, it was against the T&C. I'm not sure if they changed it...

You are talking rubbish mate. They have sales profiles in place that spot things like this VERY quickly. What do you think they are stupid ? Average sales on that item a day is probably not in double digits normally.

At this price they will clear there stock out very quickly, probably less than an hour when word gets out there. It pops up on a buyers screen, he quickly realises its a misprice and they are going to lose money on it (big) and asks for all orders to be canceled.

There is nothing to stop people ordering multiples, just realise that if you do you are far less likely to get the item. People should be a little less selfish and think about others in the community sometimes.

Can I swap the drive out of this and put it in my pc and put another drive? Would that void the warranty?

It would void the buffalo warranty but not the drive maker's warranty (seagate)
The warranty on the actual drive is usually 1 year for those sold as external drives, 5 years for the drive if sold as an internal one(they track warranties by drive serial number).

Arrggh, do I buy it or not? Can't decide... need to decide quickly.
Would be incredibly useful as my 320gig external is nearly full

This is great as I was looking around for one of these this morning :-D

Freudian slip?

Now showing:

"Availability: Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 weeks.
Note: due to the availability of this product, orders placed now for this item will not be dispatched in time for Christmas."

Now say delivery between 1 to 3 weeks! Was in stock 5 mins ago!!

Edit - Ha beat me to it!

Decided to take the gamble- Should be able to cancel if I go to the ATM machine later and find i've potentially ruined my Christmas and New Year celebrations anyway.

Thanks OP

Edit: It was in stock when I added to my basket and 1-3 weeks when I submitted my payment details - dang.
