OK, you may be able to get more gigs per £ with other makes but if like me you have several of these already check out the price drop.

Buffalo's Drive Station external hard drive HD-HB250U2 allows users to keep backups of files, digital images, documents that will not take up the room on your PC's main drive. The DriveStation connected to your PC automatically turns on once you power your PC. Installation is easy with Auto Setup feature; no need to install a driver (except for Win98/98SE). You can schedule automatic backup of your files in seconds using DriveStation backup software. Fanless design allows the DriveStations to operate silently while the Heat Sink Chassis keeps the internal components cool during operation. The unique chassis design offers flexibility for vertical or horizontal placement. Auto installation and easy operation makes the DriveStation a true plug and play storage solution for anybody.

Can you tell me plz ...do these drives have limitations with files over 1gig or more when copying from an internal to the external..

Very nice price BTW...... I like the look of these drives as I think they have a manual on-off switch

The 250gb ones certainly dont, 3gig files transfer each way no probs and I back up my drive contents to them which is 50+ gigs in one large batch file.
These also have a nice switch on the back to turn them on and off should you wish, unlike the Seagate freeagent 500gig drive I got from Play recently.

Thanks Mike for the Feedback these drives rock then and can`t wait for play to ship mine now..

can this work if u have a usb 1,1?

roadie

can this work if u have a usb 1,1?

Yes just it`s not gonna transfer the data as quick as usb 2.0

cool
thanks!

i have one of these already, thats a bloody good price. Been really pleased with my one - ideal if you have more than one computer on the network and you want quick access to your media. Now if i can only get the xbox 360 to detect it

let me know mako if it wrks for the xbox 360!

I just recieved my 500gig drivestation from play...... it`s real quality and for
£79.99 was a great buy, super quiet and performance is great.

I must congratulate play.com for cancelling my order for the £69.99 seagate (Thank god they did) as this for the extra £10 is far superior in my eyes.:-D
