cheap and unreliable

What makes u say that? Evidence/Reviews? I couldnt find anything to indicate that. At the end of the day, this must contain a HD from Hitachi, Samsung or WD?

Excellent reviews on Amazon for Buffallo Ministations and no dodgy software you cant remove/disable.

Much like your comment?

Seems like a decent deal to me for a 1tb portable drive.

idiot.

HOT

Did anyone else see the picture and think this was a DS deal?

All hard drives are unreliable, just get used to it and dont trust any single drive with your data

Tried both for store pickup and delivery....

Had plenty of seagate portable drives they all failed at some point so what I do is get a replacement and sell it but no more seagate for me, why is it the external hard drives that fail never had a problem wit internal ones actually might check the manufacture of my internal hdd and buy my next external one from them hopefully no probs

Interestingly enough, anyone know if this has the USB connector moulded onto the drive on this, or can it be taken out and used as an internal 2.5"???

I'd just like to add, Buffalo, in my experience make quality products, i'm so very, very tempted by this, nearly filled my other 1tb.

voted cold - code doesn't work

Horses for courses. I have found that Maxtor are the ones to steer clear of - had 4 die in the space of 2 weeks in the office. Replaced under warranty, however never really trusted them again!!
