I've been looking for an 8TB reliable NAS, trying to compare bying enclosures and discs seperately but I can't seem to beat this price. Figured this is a good way to find out if's a good deal.

I don't know what discs are in the NAS, guessing WD Green or more likely seagates..

This is an 8TB version for £250 and it comes with all the usual buffalo spin.

I'll add, I'm not an expert on the voucher/deal/cashback so if you can advise if any of those apply I will amend the post.

Yes I know it's not a Synology but find me an 8TB Synology NAS for £250 and I'll agree that's a hot topic.

had a Buffalo NAS for a while didn't find it had many features upgraded to a QNAP much happier with the overall features but am guessing a 8TB QNAP would be more than this
I did find a Lenovo Iomega IX4-300D for £270 with 8TB (potentially WD Greens...) that's the next best one i've found...
Anyone know why it's voted cold, cheapest new 2tb discs cost around £50 leaving the enclosure for another £50 seems cheap? Is it the product that is poor or something else?
I dont think the price includes the actual storage, does it? Ive seen plenty of empty NAS boxes at much higher prices.

Plenty of reviews state this is quite slow for transfer rates,
but you're only paying < £50 for the NAS when you take into account cost of drives.

it includes the 8TB discs (4x 2TB)

2x4TB isn't it? Jumps to £363 if you put the NAS specific WD HDDs in (reds) but still a good deal IMHO.

I'd avoid the Lenovo NAS bays. Not great. Had I've and was very disappointed in the performance
