ok fair enough but couldn't the same logic apply to anything and add a bus ticket or fuel price to get it? ahwell just seems silly

No - there will be people who can walk to pick up any shop deal. Try walking up to an Amazon warehouse and telling them you want to pick something up.
Cheers £16.15 with student prime
Apologies if this is a stupid question, but how does this compare with Southern Comfort (which I usually drink neat)?

Southern comfort is a whisky flavoured liqueur whereas buffalo trace is a bourbon style whisky (and not a bad one at that!)

So two completely different types of drink and impossible to compare IMO

It's nothing like it. This is a bourbon but less sweet than JD and much nicer.

Not a stupid question.

But . . .

It is an entirely different drink, worth trying maybe with a mixer like Fiery Ginger but no where near as sweet as SoCo.

That's not really the same though since you may well be able to walk to wherever an instore deal is and not have to pay a penny extra. With your deal you physically can't get this product from Amazon for £17 unless you make another purchase to bring the total up or you have bought a Prime subscription.

It seems like an odd thing to make a fuss about honestly. The title's only getting changed to ensure people understand the deal and the price you originally posted is no less clear.

not making a fuss just curious, I questioned it to find the answer, simple as.
This or the Makers Mark from before?

Thanks (& to the other posters, too) for clarifying. I like the sweetness of Southern Comfort so this may not be for me, but seems a good deal for others.

if its sweetness you're after go for the soco. I just much prefer this personally
Just ordered, hopefully it's nice as I've never tried it. I drink Devils Cut, JD and Bulleit at the moment and this has good reviews so should be all good.
Cheapest its been
Just gone for this over jd for xmas,! Hope it's nice
