Fly to 1,000 feet and beyond in seconds. If the transmission is lost, Bugs 3 won't fly away- it falls to the ground to be quickly retrieved.

Don't like the sound of that.

I got the Hubsan x4 star pro with GPS, waypoint mode, return to home and auto return, app controlled. £70 from amazon, not bad for the price, not the longest flight time but got a few extra batteries cheap.

You’re right. I have the Bugs 2 and whilst it isn’t a DJI, it does have the GPS with “return home” feature. Without that, I’d have lost it countless times. Cost me £125 but I’ve seen them for under £100 recently.

Only you can decide that. I love mine and try and get it out as much as possible. Still learning about how to use it properly but it's very easy to fly.

I admit I haven't heard obeying the law of gravity as a product feature before!

Couldn't trust with go pro. It drops so you can find it lmao

totally naive here....I have a cheap £30+ (China) drone, which I haven't really used yet. If I send it up as far as it'll until it loses signal, does it just keep rising until the 8-10min battery dies, or will it kinda hover back down? Sorry for being stupid

Once signal is lost it has no input from you on the sticks so the props will stop and it will start to fall. The wind will carry it away though, so you would possibly think that it is still flying, but it won't be.

Assume that when it loses signal the power will cut as it will no longer be being told by your transmitter to have power directed to the rotors?

Too late price gone up above 100

Are there any mods worth doing to this?

Youtube suggests it's possible to use different rotors to convert speed into stability. Not sure about anything else yet!

Remember theres a new law coming out next year where you have to register any drone weighing over 250g and pass a competency test

You speak the truth! Mine arrived yesterday - just need to decide which of the two hukd deal cameras I ordered to use with it!

Well received mine. Managed to get it set up last night....and then it all goes wrong.
The drone does not work. The front main light comes on, however the bottom 4 lights do not. They ever so slightly flicker on as I connect the battery but them nothing.

I have watched tutorials on how to pair it and build it and did everything correctly. It just does not work, no spinning blades or pairing with the remote. Nothing😭 email sent to Amazon to try and rectify this, as of I send this back and repurchase I will be paying more.
