Anyone know what the best before dates will be on these? Would like to buy 1 & make it for an xmas present.

Any ideas?

Maybe not quite so good, but ikea are selling gingerbread houses for about 1.50.

Would the price of that house be crashing as well!! :whistling:

The ones from IKEA are great, still got one in the cupboard from last year. I enjoyed making it more than the kids (who just ate the sweets i bought for decorating. I Put flakes on the top (broken not whole) to look like a thatch roof!!

My kids still insist I still make this every year

most of them are now in their 20's!

Make it, fill it with sweets then 54321 bash it all in and eat

great for bdays this time of year too.

ikea cheapest but not if its 60miles away!

Good find

I bought 2 from IKEA recently - £1.95 each i think, but they don't include the icing or sweets like this one.

These have actually been in store at Lidl for several weeks, but priced at £4.99 - the best before date on mine is 06/10!!

cheap house, my advice wait 6 months and you will be able to buy one bricks and mortor for that price, or you can always use it when your house gets reposesed

Much cheaper to make your own and buy your own ingredients, and then you can get the family involved too. We did this one year, made them on Christmas eve for everyone arriving Christmas day and a few others do deliver the following day. It ended up like a village and made an excellent center piece on the table.

Pick things like lots of different flat biscuits for the walls, then using icing to join them together and for a snow look to the roofs. Fill and decorate them with sweets of of your choice, things like dolly mix work well.
