As I post on most Bulldog threads, this gin is only ever priced high so they can discount. It's cheap and quite rubbish.

For £11 it might be useful for making gin cocktails, but I wouldn't drink it without other things in the mix - I'd rather have a Gordon's or something.

Taste's a bit peppery to me but fair price and everyone has different taste opinions.

I'm on the other end. For me it's a top gin, better than pretty much most of stuff on the market. I'd put it on par with Plymouth and only behind Hendrick's and Tanquerey 10. I still can't believe you can quite often get it for around £16 at one of the big supermarkets. When discounted it's the best value gin on the market for me and at £11 I'd be buying all the stock.

Bizarre how tastes vary...

Plymouth is one of the best for sure, a true bargain when £20 or less on a deal. Tanqueray 10 is OK but not worth the £23 or more for me - I'd rather have a litre of ordinary Tanq for the same money.

Hendrink's a whole different ball game. I can't drink the stuff, but I don't like cucumber at all.

Bulldog is just a bit naff and tasteless for me. I wish I like it, as it's usually cheap. It certainly wouldn't be £11 if it was that good.
I'm assuming that this is a one-off at this price? Just an in store reduction?
Nice two sisters Birthdays sorted.
Sorry OP meant to say GREAT find - ro53ben must be puddled or on a different planet - that's what Gordon's does

Well I post on all the ones I see but, seeing as it's discounted every other week, I don't have time to do them all.

Looking around at online reviews, it seems people are either big fans or not at all. Clearly it's a bit of a Marmite thing.

Enjoy your cheap gin guys!
Great gin for the price! I prefer Beefeater 24 but like this too. Different class to Gordons!

"Different class to Gordons!" - Couldn't agree more :O)
Bulldog is a great cheap-mid priced gin, miles ahead of Gordons which tastes very cheap and like chemicals. £11 is a steal, I would be stocking up

Maybe it's a good gin for people who don't like gin?
