Good deal, have bought all three for bubble baths...on S&S, £2.55

Cheers.

Bought as good value on Subscribe & Save.

However these aren't as good as their original shower gel - the original fragrance one of this is poor compared to their original shower gel - the composition is different.

It's just the cleaning gel + fragrance.

No aloe vera etc.

So they cheaped out a bit.

But got the fragrances on offer as the ones I've tried (Black Pepper & Vetiver Shower and Lemon & Bergamot Shower) smell decent.
Black Pepper & Vetiver does have a rather strong fragrance though.
I had a Bulldog facial scrub ages ago and it was lovely.

I would say let us know what you think, but since its shower gel that might be weird haha enjoy either way!
I can not find list of ingredients for these shower gels, anyone has them handy?

Nevermind, got it: Aqua (Water), Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, Sodium chloride, Glycerin, Lauryl glucoside, Sodium methyl oleoyl taurate, Sodium PCA, Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, Sodium benzoate, Citric acid, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Potassium sorbate, Limonene.

Not bad ingredients, purchased 6 in total (2 each). Thanks OP!

Vs their original:

Aqua (Water), Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Disodium cocoamphodiacetate, Sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate, Lauryl glucoside, Coco-betaine, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia (Bergamot) peel oil, Coriandrum sativum (Coriander) seed oil, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) oil, Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, Litsea cubeba fruit oil, Ocimum basilicum (Basil) oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Menthol, Acrylates /C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Sodium chloride, Limonene, Linalool, Sodium hydroxide, Polyaminopropyl biguanide, Sorbic acid, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Phenoxyethanol.

So no essential oils it seems, nor aloe vera juice

Uses Cocamidopropyl betaine as a surfactant:
ewg.org/ski…NE/

May cause skin sensitisation, and is a suspected environmental toxin.

healthline.com/hea…ine

And:
Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate

Which looks fine.

Vs the original which uses as surfactants:
Disodium cocoamphodiacetate
Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate
Lauryl glucoside
Coco-betaine

Which all look fine.

Just copy and paste ingredients in to here:
cosdna.com/eng…php

It gives the skindeep ratings.

The original does have better ingredients and better surfactants it seems.

It does have Sodium Hydroxide as a PH adjuster however vs citric acid, and more ingredients, some of which aren't great.

Bear in mind this is still one of the better shower gels you can get, just not as good as their original I'd say, and unlike ManCave who's larger bottles are the same as their original (but cost a fair bit more).

Didn't they reformulate a lot of their products a few years ago? I remember that's when I started to prefer Mancave products, it felt different on the skin.

I'm not sure, I never noticed that for Bulldog.

I did notice it for ManCave actually - they cheaped out a few years ago. Essential oils etc. moved lower down the ingredients list.
That was when they switched their packaging - from the plain stick on labels to the topographical print printed directly on the plastic.

I just opened an actual one from late '97..kept it so long it's come back in fashion and not only do I smell of the Savannah I have a faint pong of hipster cool to boot..
The scents are fantastic and they use natural aroma oils (doesn't mean they're better than synthetic aroma chemicals, but some might be interested!)

men-ü Black Pepper & Bergamot Shower Gel is very good. Concentrated formula that seems to last quite a while. Previous bottle seemed to last about 5 months. Helps that you get it in a pump dispenser bottle.

Only a couple of months ago, you could pick up a 500ml bottle+pump for a fraction over £13 from Mankind, but they've recently bumped up their price to £25.35 (refill) or £26.85 with the pump.

Lookfantastic also sell it, currently it's £19. Bizarre as both retailers are part of THEHUT group, who also sell the same product on their own website for £26.85..

Amazon often sell it, but it's £32 at the moment.

Often found on eBay but I'd avoid unless you trust the vendor.

It's worth keeping an eye out for this stuff when the price dips to £13ish, as it cleans really well without drying out your skin, (having a shave after your shower with this stuff, results in less aggravated skin) and the 'concentrated formula' marketing claims appear to be true. They started out with their USP as a holiday friendly range due to their focus on concentrated formulas so small travel friendly bottles. They've been around for about 15 years. Their 100ml tube of shower gel is perfect for holiday.

It gives Molton Brown Black Pepper a run for its money on cleaning & fragrance.

Voted cold. Anyone who isn’t using 70% hand gel instead of shower gel in these times is not doing their bit for the greater good to defeat this virus. Sure you end up with red raw skin but a bit of lotion soothes it a bit. Our grandparents fought in the war, the least we can do is stay inside and bathe in anti-bacterial hand gel.

men-ü's citrus & mint isn't my favorite of the two they offer.
It's got plenty of zing to it. It will wake you up, that's for sure. Very good after a workout. The equivalent of a Glacier mint with some gin & tonic herbaceous freshness to it.

If you've ever tried Molton Brown's Black Pepper, men-ü's Black Pepper & Bergamot isn't quite as complex/seductive an aroma, but it still has plenty of depth to it, there's what could be described as some musky, clove overtones together with the bite the pepper offers.
It's a darker more opulent fragrance than the norm, with an emphasis on the spice. Like an evening cologne vs scents intended for wearing during summer days which are more citrus based. The bergamot balances it out a little to give it some freshness so it doesn't overpower.
Next time you go to the supermarket, have a whiff of Radox's black pepper foam bath. The men-ü gel is more complex and more elements of the freshly cracked black pepper, but you'll get an approximate idea of the smell territory.

First time you'll try it you'll think, urrm, because it's unusual. But after a couple of uses you grow to appreciate it.
