Reviews for it are terrible though

Two reviewers have pointed out that it breaks easily. In fact one of them seems to buy them frequently and keeps on making the same mistake lol.

I did read those myself tbh but its for a paved garden and looks robust enough to sweep that

I had one of these ....
Great I thought ... but alas it broke at the threaded collar (tried to fix but alas it didnt work) the head is great ... the handle is great BUT the connecting threaded collar broke very easily ...
Tempted to buy another and maybe put a metal rod inside to strengthen the metal collar ??

I own one of these which so far has been okay for the patio and driveway: screwfix.com/p/b…943
It is sometimes on offer.

I've kept receipt in case, Aldi are good with returns if needed

£3 at B&Q, looks the same if you can find stock at your store :-) diy.com/dep…prd

Purchased two previously, both snapped (on first use and second use respectively) at the collar where the head attaches to the handle. They really are as fragile as people make out - sorry.

Ditto, always break @ the Hollow end of handle.

Yes. This. They haven't changed the weak design in at least five years. Exact same problem for me but would make an excellent broom if that joint was metal and not plastic.
