Not sure why the titles been edited to £286.12 delivered? Went through as free 24hr parcel force delivery so £263.12 delivered?
Personally, I think you’d need to be crackers to spend this kind of cash on a Bulova. Especially when there’s been two deals for Seiko Prospex automatics around that price within the last week or so. TK Maxx recently had Bulova for around £80-£120 which is about where their price point should be for most models.

I think Bulova is a unique brand, with a number of noteworthy pieces throughout their history. Accutron, Computron and Their Precisionist lines are notables. I mean a seconds hand that’s silkier than an 8bpm mechanical, and accurate to within a couple seconds per year is nothing to sneeze at!

I was let down by their oversized Oceanographer re-issue; selling that for £400+ with an 8215 inside was an insult!

Bulova used to be good, but since they almost went bust and Citizen bailed them out, I find the majority of them are cheaply made and substandard quality. Obviously, there are exceptions but they really sit at the lower end of the market mostly. Their HAQ watches are very accurate though.

I think this one will grow on you coldpop, Bulovas business aside it has real heritage credentials and the high feq second hand smoothness is as close as you'll get to a grand Seiko spring drive without the $$$. Give it some time

Those lower priced Bulovas are for a standard quartz movement, not the 262khz precisionist movement like with this model, which are always more expensive.

I struggle with your point. Brands have watches in different price brackets. Some seikos are £50, some are thousands. this is one of Bulova's higher end watches with their very accurate movement - not fair to compare it to their budget models. The price is excellent for this model unless you can find it cheaper?

I’d certainly not buy a £50 Seiko. If accuracy is your main goal, this’ll probably be very accurate but so would a twenty quid Casio. I just don’t see the value in Bulova at this price when there are more quality watches at this price. Realistically, most people would never notice the difference in accuracy between a HAQ and a regular quartz. I’m guessing the reason Bulova nearly went under was because they tend to use substandard materials in comparison to others. Years ago, this wasn’t the case, but times change.
Anything below £280 is a great price. Voted hot!
Had mine for 18 months or so, lovely watch and well worth the money here.

Well this model is an exception. Build quality is great, sapphire screen, precisionist movement - and heritage as a moon watch (to some that counts)

Hate to say it but Seiko are totally overrated, they do make some good watches but creeping prices and chapter ring/bezel alignment issues are unforgivable..Also hardlex isnt the bes, and thier bracelets are generaly junk.

Heritage? It’s a different company now. Owned by different people and supplied with different parts.

Amazing that Seiko are one of the biggest watch manufacturers on earth then. Usually people that start with the Hardlex crap have generally no idea what they are talking about. It’s laughable to people who know about watches, of course, you’re entitled to your opinion, but the Seiko watches I own are far superior to any new Bulova I’ve seen.

I have plenty of watches, some with hardlex, some with sapphire, some with mineral. Hardlex is absolutely not acceptable on watches at the price point it can be seen on..Cheap watches its fine. The fact that Seiko are one of the biggest manufacturers gives a clear indication they may have grown to big for their boots. And i would argue they have, they rose to mega popularity in recent times due to being great value propositions. watches like the SARB range that offer 6R15 movements and sapphire crystal that could be bought for sub £200 were indeed amazing...But those days have passed, now you have a company pushing over priced watches across the whole of its mid range. a company that is plagued with QC issues as well. I have a couple of Seiko watches - i like them. But they are now for the most part well over priced for what they are, in particular limited editions like "grey dawn"

Thank you:) it sort of is scratching my itch for the omega speedmaster i just cant afford lol.
Been eyeing this model up for a while, finally bit at this price. Last minute Christmas gift to myself.
Nice watch. Looks great and a quality movement. Good find.

Disagree, especially when you compare to Seiko. I have a samurai, turtle, baby tuna and a Seiko 5 each with their own quality issue. Good thing I got a very good deal in all of them, if I paid retail they would be going back.

I have the special edition Bulova lunar pilot and it feels and looks like it was worth the price I paid for it, I really like it.

Your point on Bulova is fine but you can't compare it to Seiko suggesting they are better quality as they are absolutely not.

Seiko can't even align day/date and chapter rings ffs. Their bezel alignment is crap too.

But I still keep buying them..

Its ok to disagree. It’s called living in a free country. Although you’re talking about specific things that I’ve not experienced with any of my Seiko collection. Also, the sales and revenue would strongly disagree with you too. However, the main thing is you’re happy with your Bulova.

I’d have to agree. You could ease the blow by taking advantage of the five year 0% interest some dealers are offering too.

Plus it would look great next to this one in a nice watch box.
Just noticed H S Johnson have reduced it to £289 with an extra 11% off if you have a Student Beans account.

Mine's being delivered tomorrow from Watches2u and I'm genuinely excited.
