I've got the black dial version, nice watch for the price
Can someone informed tell me about what's happened to Bulova? You would not geat near a Bulova at this price even a year ago. Have they changed hands or something?

Either way, it's a good watch at a great price so heat added from me!

I don't know why it's so cheap, I just know it's already in their sale and their flash sale takes it down to £48.99 and the Easter sale discount code works on it to drop it to £41.92. Like you say, it's fantastic at this price.
If it wasn't for the fact I have 8 watches and do not want to risk a frying pan around the back of my head I would go for this.
An absolute bargain compared to some of the rubbish that is about by wannabe named brands.

You can't use the EASTER12 code. It doesn't allow more than one voucher and 10 pounds reduction is considered a voucher

Sorry, yes you are correct. Even though it drops to £41.92 it says lower down that it can't be used together.
Nice watch, I would love to buy but the after sales experience of this company has sadly put me off watch arrived damaged, following many emails attempting to assist the department find my order and stating within each email that I wish for a replacement watch they decided to refund me!!! when asked they informed that they refunded me as there was no stock available, when I sent a screenshot of their website showing that it was advertised as being in stock, I got no reply. Not a good experience by far!!

It is IX, the Chronograph dial is over lapping.
en.wikipedia.org/wik…ova

On January 10, 2008, Citizen bought the Bulova Watch Company for $250 million.

Currently Bulova designs, manufactures, and markets several different brands, including: the signature "Bulova", the stylish "Caravelle New York", the dressy/formal Swiss-made "Wittnauer Swiss", and the "Marine Star". In 2014 Bulova ceased the sale of watches under the "Accutron" and "Accutron by Bulova" brand, eliminating some Accutron models and subsuming others under the "Bulova" brand.

In 2010, Bulova introduced the Precisionist, a new type of quartz watch with a higher frequency crystal (262144 Hz, eight times the industry standard 32768 Hz) which is claimed to be accurate to ±10 seconds per year (0.32 ppm) and has a smooth sweeping second hand rather than one that jumps each second.[14]

Looks like a V to me. They could have made the X smaller so it fits. Maybe why its cheap? It just looks wrong and cant picture a similar watch where the X is cut in half.
Just a thought on the practicality of this watch - I have a Caravelle (Bulova brand) Chronograph (below) which is quite similar, apart from the bling - but it has the same colour dial/numbers/hands/chrono and is a NIGHTMARE trying to tell the time in anything but bright daylight.
33548802-Y4keC.jpgYou really need some contrast, otherwise it's a royal pain in the rear. Maybe not everyone will have this experience, but that's mine. Looks nice on the wrist, though.

I have seen it elsewhere, but can't recall. The visible top half of the X is slightly different than the V (the angle, height of the intersection).

Besides which, I can read the time without relying on numerals.
Bagged the last one on the flash sale. Available at £59 with 12% off now. Still a decent deal
Hate quartz watches...

This and the black dialled variation are often this pric on Amazon. This is good value for money, but note that this is just regular quartz and not their Precisionist 262KHz watch so it's just regular.

Love Bulova and have/had many Accutrons in my time. You've not collected watches until you've owned a bummer!
8 times oscillating frequency means 8 times greater battery drain. That's why Seiko came up with the Spring Drive

I have this too and it came from Watches2U. I found it cheaper at Argos a few days later but Watches2U weren't interested in refunding the difference and wanted £6 if I was to return my watch to them for a refund.

It sounds like a design fault as I can't imagine anyone wanting to wear that watch in daylight, bright or otherwise.

My watch is a dupe of the ubiquitous ladies' Michael Kors watches and I was referring to the colours of the dial/numbers/hands being the same - rendering it unreadable in low light - not about the style of my Caravelle watch. The same issue will more than likely also affect this Bulova watch.

Only on HUKD would you attract a comment that misses the point, and also includes a veiled insult
