Bundaberg used to do a wicked ginger beer until they changed the recipe and put sweeteners in it.
It really is a shame.

What's the sugar content per 100 ml?
Tesco's freshly squeezed is 10g/ 100 ml
Far too much!

Same tragic story about San Pellegrino and Jamaican ginger beer.

I don't mind paying extra to have nice flavour.

Then drink half as much? better than adding sweetener.

Ingredients Carbonated Water, Cane Sugar, Blood Orange Juice from Concentrate (5%), Blood Orange Brew (Water, Blood Orange Juice Concentrate, Sugar, Yeast), Acids (Citric Acid, Malic Acid), Flavouring, Preservatives (E202, E211), Thickener (Pectin), Colours (Purple Sweet Potato, Lycopene), Sweetener (Steviol Glycosides), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid)

not the worst sweeteners but sweetener non the less and its 5g per 100ml so you're in luck.

They still do in Australia - this stuff is made in the UK with a brand name attached

Now if only I could find somewhere that sells proper bundy rum in the UK

EDIT: at a decent price lol

Yes, used to love their ginger beer. Fever Tree do agood ginger beer though.
All these recipe changes were to beat the sugar tax and also address the demonisation of sugar by the media. No one will obviously talk about personal responsibility.

I don't drink them all the time. In fact I rarely have them.

But when I do have one I'd like it to taste nice.

If you have an Ocado near you, try this .....

"San Pellegrino Classic Taste Lemon Slim Cans | Ocado" ocado.com/pro…011

It's basically the same as the old San Pellegrino, but has 10% less sugar.
I can't tell the difference tbh.

Sorry but its another one hit by the sweetner epidemic. Its more akin to drain cleaner now. Such a shame

It is, yeah... I know you can get it but I can't really justify £40 for a bottle of rum! At that price I'd be better getting Diplomat or Plantation, and I'm not that fancy! I stretch to Mount Gay at best ha! Will just have to go back to Oz to get some pre-mixed Bundy and Coke

I think it costs more than £40 to get to Oz.

Is that not the amount of sugar that gets squeezed out of an orange. If The sugar in the juice concerns you try eating the entire orange instead, that would be a much healthier option.

I suppose its the total sugar content contained within the approximately 15 oranges needed to produce one litre of juice. Because I was drinking 2 litres a day it was like eating 30 oranges hehe.
