Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair 70cl down to £26 instore and online at Morrisons.

Great value for a non chill filtered, uncoloured single malt bottled at 46.3%. Although an Islay, it's unpeated but unmistakably coastal.

Stiùireadair (pronounced ‘stew-rahdur’ and means ‘helmsman’ in Scots Gaelic).

Nose: Brine, toasted sugar and caramel-drizzled raisins.

Palate: Honey-roasted nuts, cinnamon and clove, with a touch of salt sea too.

Finish: Sherried peels and chilli-chocolate.

The 12 years old is on offer for £30 at Waitrose
Your deal is great. No knocking it, at all.

It caused me to go looking for a price of their 12yo, which can be in to the HUNDREDS, and am pleasantly surprised.

Blast. You beat me to it lol
Yeah I posted the 12 amazon deal a few weeks ago. This isn’t countrywide, not available in the north east. Vanishes when logged in to the side and isn’t in stores local to me.
It's a very good deal, however everytime I go to Morrison's which is the other side of town they never have the product.
Hotter with the 10% Amex cashback offer on my account.
How does this one compare to the 12 yo?

Not good. I love the 12 which is often discounted to £30 at Amazon but the Stiuireadair is a very odd flavour and not to my taste at all. Regardless of price it's one of very few whiskies I've tried that I won't buy again.

Thanks for the heads up. Bunnahabhain is my favourite distillery, and 12yo has been my go to over the past few years. I always get a bottle of the airport edition "Eirigh Na Greine" everytime I travel, that dram is incredible and is usually around 50-60 euros.
Reviews appear mixed. Whisky websites are mixed and Amazon is overwhelmingly positive. May be worth adding £4 and grabbing the 12.
