The NHS saved my life a year ago - I have the utmost respect and admiration for all that they do, especially as their pay generally is not good for their level of dedication and responsibility.

It's nice to see them being recognised, but I suspect they would rather be provided with proper PPE like masks and protective goggles than free drinks or the like. Ok, sorry, I'm being a little political, but I feel strongly about these guys - when most of us are trying to stay away from everybody else and buying up hoards of supplies in a frenzy, these people are putting themselves in the way of danger every time they go to work and are expected to carry on as normal - which they do. They can't hide themselves away like the rest of us may be able to do.

They are quite simply incredible, caring, considerate, dedicated and brave people that we should ALL appreciate far more than we currently do.

Well done and thank you to all of them.

they like most people are self isolating if they get a cough etc. You …they like most people are self isolating if they get a cough etc. You state "when most of us are trying to stay away from everybody else and buying up hoards of supplies in a frenzy, these people are putting themselves in the way of danger every time they go to work and are expected to carry on as normal - which they do" the same applies to people who work in supermarkets, call centers, factories the list goes on. NHS staff perform a job and get well paid for it. get a grip

Last time I checked, people who work in supermarkets and factories aren't coming into daily contact with patients who have been diagnosed with Covid-19, nor are they having to make decisions that effect whether or not people might die. They are NOT well paid for what they do.
I get your point, everybody is important, but those working in our health service, social care and emergency services are especially needed right now.
Nice gesture. Companies are falling over themselves to give workers free food and drink. Can't help thinking their marketing dept is behind it instead of any genuine care for the people.

Seriously well paid, do you have any idea what staff get paid and I’m not referring to surgeons or specialists. I’m talking about the ones that keep the hospital clean, feed and look after patients. Everybody deserves to be recognised that is pulling together.

Excellent deal.
Wow. Very generous gesture. About time all the big greedy conglomerates stopped always thinking about there bottom line and realise the importance of the cogs in there wheel that keeps there coffers lined.
Wondered when they'd jump on the band wagon
Its so good to see all the big companies doing their bit to contribute in their own ways to make it a better place for all of us - well done to them. Thanks for posting as well mate

Why? It's not them responsible for underfunding, is it?

Let the bang wagon roll & others follow
Shame it doesn’t include shop workers and their warehouse workers and lorry drivers
I wish I was eligible haha, I am I between caring for a relative full time, to going into care work.
Wow the social services are actually included for once. My wife and her team are working around the clock lately, ensuring that vulnerable children are well looked after during these trying times. It gets a bit much sometimes to only ever hear public thanks and appreciation being directed exclusively at [hardworking] NHS staff.
Focus on the positives. Well done BK!

Heat and thanks.
Very nice indeed, i wish a lot more places did this for NHS staff even at normal times as they all do such wonderful work 24/7.

Does it matter?
Nice gesture or cynical ploy to entice in some of the few people still out and about?
There are some good people in this world, rather than stockpiling.
Can I check, are these "key worker" people the same as the until recently "unskilled" that we've been trying to get out / keep out of our country? Asking for a few million friends...
must not include airports as just been refused the offer in stansted
What about window cleaners cleaning windows in these troubling times
I accidentally hit negative on this but as an emergency worker it's a clear thumbs up from me, nice find

FML you people find any excuse to suck out the positive in the world don't you. Who cares if it's genuine care or a marketing ploy. They're giving something away for nothing to those who are working really hard. Seriously, with all that's going on in the world. I don't particularly want to get banned, but there's many words that I want to say. Most start with F and end with O.
Give it another week and theyll be giving them free to anyone who actually goes out...
The cheapest item on their menu... it would not hurt BK to do actual food items...
Teachers? Teachers are talking care of vulnerable children still.
Finally one I can partake in. We have a BK in my bit of rural mid Wales. About all we do have that’s a national chain!

Deals are not normally at airports as they have a captive audience and are a law unto themselves.
Remember that time you went into Burger King and only ordered a drink? Just sayin.

I really appreciate the work they do, but I hate the pedestal people put healthcare workers on. There are numerous equally honourable professions that exist that are staffed by jewels of the earth (teachers as an example) that are constantly forgotten about and under appreciated.

I hate this “free stuff for a select group” thing all the companies are doing, I’m glad they’re getting recognition but they’re not the only cogs keeping this machine running.
They caused my Mum's death in a Hospital 😡
Yes I agree with all frontline staff, and teachers etc but please don't forget the postman whose out there every day face to face with many people and handling mail that gawd knows who has been coughing and sputtering all over it.

just because it's free doesn't mean its right. these companies are being their usual self and thinking of themselves...that's the point i was trying to make. i wasn't saying the health workers don't deserve more. they defo do. they always did, not just now.

"with all that's going in the world"... a little bit of suffering for the western world and suddenly we should all band together and sing songs. but fk the people who've suffered from birth to death in poor countries and those live in fear in war torn countries. do kfc/bk/mc give freebies to those people. no because there's no profit to be made from it.

There is one word i'd say to people like you as well ...t??t.
Last time I checked this was a forum for posting deals. Thanks for posting OP. Be kind to each other.

True, but we are currently in a global pandemic. Currently projections of death rates in the UK alone by the end of the pandemic are circa 20,000.

In a crisis situation like this, saving people's lives is paramount and trumps everything else - the people who are doing that are healthcare staff.
I'm 100% certain NHS staff will be social distancing and not doing something as stupid as visiting a chain restaurant
