True. Ending was just...Meh!

See that is the kind of story that initially put me off, but once you watch it, you pretty much forget the guy is in a box the whole film!

Ok film to watch once

agreed, it's good, but you probably wouldnt watch it again.

Yes great movie, but it is only a watch once movie. It realies on you being tense, but that wont happen the second time.

Great film and nice one for the collection

Make sure you get the HD version, so you can experience the mud, wood and lighter in all it's glory.

Seriously can't believe some people enjoyed this film. Possibly one of the most boring/stupid/slightly racist films I have ever seen. The acting is good from Ryan Reynolds and does hold up, but the various characters on the phone were laughable. Me and the friends I was with nearly walked out, wish we had :-(
Not voted though, just my two cents on the film :-)

Totally agree 90 mins of looking up a blokes nose while he breaths heavily is not my idea of a good night in!!

Good movie, you need to look at the content not the form, meaning working in a war zone! for a World company

I'm also shocked at the positive comments about this film! I thought it was actually one of the worst movies I have ever had to sit through.

But! It's a good deal at this price right now, and you really do need to see a film yourself before relying on anyone's judgements! However, I would recommend you save the money and rent this instead as it's one film you will only watch once as others have noted.

Worst film I've ever seen I think.

Content? Like the fact a snake randomly appears in a coffin the guy has been in for a good hour or so? The fact that he tries to kill it with lighter fluid? And the fire goes madly out of control, even though it is on sand, which isn't flammable, and there isn't enough oxygen in the box for it to breathe properly, but this scene still warrants music to the effect of some hugely dramatic scene? (Correct me if I'm wrong on anything here, I was half asleep and bored out of my mind for the majority of this film)
Believe me, I love good movies, this isn't one. There are movies to which someone can hold the audience on their own, Castaway with Tom Hanks I believe is a good example. Colin Farrell to an extent in Phone Booth (Not that I'm saying it's an amazing film, but he does well considering he pretty much runs the film on his own).
Sorry just hate it when companies keep churning out crap like this, and don't want people to waste their money on it! Each to their own though :-)

Why would anyone want this film on a blu ray? Why o why? The screen is dark for the entire duration of the film. Its not as if the 'vibrant' colours are going to be orgasmic.

Watched this earlier. Not a bad film, managed to hold my interest at least, despite the whole movie being in the same one setting. Ending ruined it though, made the whole film seem a big waste of time.

Good price
Seen this at the cinema and nearly walked out as thought it was a pretty poor film and a few people actually walked. The only saving grace in my opinion was Ryan Reynolds as he acted the part well and saved the film from being any worse

Expected more from this film as considering phone booth is on the same lines of the film revolving around one location and that worked and was enjoyable but this film should stay buried but each to their own

Ending was epic, you can seriously say you want a movie to end the way you expect it. A few people I know said they hated this. They can't appreciate good minimalist movie making. MMM!

Just watched this from Lovefilm, ending was more annoying than The Mist! Heat added for the price...

sounds boring

Calm down. This is one reason why:

Didn't the English guy's voice one the phone really annoy everyone? It sounded like someone from a TV commercial selling car insurance. Why on earth they didn't dub over that I'll never know.

Not a bad film, definitely not a keeper though. Watch it once. end of.

Rented the Blu Ray version off Lovefilm. THERE IS NO POINT GETTING THIS IN BLU RAY, there is absolutely no difference in Blu Ray than DVD. The film is nearly pitch black all the way through.

I thought it was rubbish. In fact so rubbish I'll save 1h 40mins of your time. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I agree with most, the film was poo. The characters on the phone unrealistic to make the most of what little there is to work on.

However if you wanted to test your HD TV this maybe a good film to do it with. As the black tones and colours when they do appear will be the test.

Awful awful film, dark and boring with the worst ending ever... Complete load of rubbish

**** rubbish movie.....

This films a bit like the blair witch project, a large part of the tension comes from what isn't explicitly shown on the camera.

If you only like simple films or films with special effects in, you wont like this, stick to the simple stuff like kick ass or something with Will Smith in it (e.g. Men In Black, Hancock).

On the other hand if you like tense films then this is a reasonable one, although it was available for £5 in Asda a few weeks ago.
