Further to my submission on Friday regarding "Burnout Paradise" being £19.99 at GameStation (in their "Deal of the Week"), dogvilledan reported in the (above) thread that the same title was gained in a "2 for £30" offer yesterday.

Looking online at Currys.co.uk, the title is £19.97. It is temporarily out of stock, but can be reserved to collect in-store. Currys SKU code "838739".

It may be worth checking if you are passing a store to see what other titles are available in the "2 for £30" offer before committing to paying £19.97.

Anyone know what else is in the 2 for £30?

no possibly about it FP, i got it in the 2 for 30 deal, see no reason why this wouldnt be nationwide - the shelves had a '2 for £30' trim on them.

Alone In The Dark 360 was definitely in there, cant remember what else.

the girl who served me also told me that come Thursday there would be more titles in the Game Clearout selection...

Deffo nation wide as i got it too at the weekend, and you can mix and match formats.

Thank you (both).

I'll be heading down to D-D-D-Currys.digital tomorrow morning then.

I now have "LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures" [PS3] & "Ninja Gaiden II" [Xbox 360] bought in the "2 for £30" offer!

They did have many titles... some old, some not so old, some nearly new.

Not everything is reduced. Oddly some very old titles weren't.

"Devil May Cry 4" [PS3] was in the "2 for £30" deal, as was "Burnout Paradise" (for both [PS3] & [Xbox 360], as mentioned). "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" [PS3], & "Unreal Tournament III" (both consoles again) as well.

I also recall "Viking: Battle For Asgard" [PS3] was £6.99, & "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground" [Xbox 360] was £9.97.

Hope this helps someone (else).

Bought those four last week @ £19.97 each, they're still un-open, looks like I'll be taking them back, pocketing the refund and saving £20, thanks to the OP

"Condemned 2: Bloodshot" [PS3] was definitely on offer in the branch I visited, but none of the others you mentioned were.

I think "Beowulf The Game" [PS3] was £9.99, but it has been around that price elsewhere for some time as well.

Some PSP & NDS titles were also in the "2 for £30" offer, btw.

It's possible I suppose.

I just remembered... "Lost" [PS3] was £4.99 too.

Damn! I wish I'd taken notes rather than relying on my aging noggin (and my credit card).

Oh yes, I picked up the PS3 variant (in the same offer) & decided I didn't really need it

EDIT:

...and Play.com have both the ]PS3 & ]Xbox 360 versions of "The Orange Box" for £11.99 anyway!

well, very productive day it's been for me today.

set out a quest to track down cheap gaming goodies at various Currys/PC World in the area. Wandered into one, and there, sat at number 1 in the 360 chart, was Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway stickered up at £19.97 :w00t: ....within a flash i was at the tills, cashier didn't bat an eyelid, even told me she had to manually punch in the price as it scanned as £39.99. She then told me it was out of stock and would have to have refund, my time was up i thought. But no! she rang a local PC World, and told them to reserve me a copy and emailed them my receipt to confirm payment!!

Trekked over to PC World, sure enough there was my copy of Brothers in Arms, and while i was waiting in the queue spotted The Godfather and Tomb Raider Legend for £4.97 a pop.

phew, what a day.

Well done on your success. Overnight I downloaded the demo of "Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway" from the US PlayStation Store, & haven't had the opportunity to look at it yet.

In the Currys.digital store I went to yesterday the full game was £39.99

I never thought to try PC World; not that I have one that local to me anyway, as I didn't realise other members of the DSG Retail Group were also offering the same deal.

Yeah... thanks for that... that's my day gone!

Just got 2 copies of burnout paradise - XBOX 360 + PS3 on the 2 for £30, cracking deal if you can find another game or someone else who wants a copy. Just about to spend the best part of £14 on Flea bay.:)
