Now I’ve finally signed up here I can ask question I’ve been confused about with 360 / Xbone titles.
If i have this or GTA V for my 360 and I’ve nos got an Xbone S. These obviously play in it.

However if I then buy GTA V specifically for the Xbone as an Xbone title. The Gfx etc will still be better than the 360 versions that are upscaled etc correct? It seems an obvious yes, but I’ve not found the right question to ask google to find out definitively

cheers

The titles have to be backwards compatible to play on Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V isn't, sadly. You'll need the GTA V Xbox One version to play on Xbox One. The Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise is backwards compatible and will work on an Xbox One console, but for the sake of £5.50 (digitally) I'd probably upgrade to its Xbox One version.

There's a lot of 360 / One chat in there, so I hope it makes sense Here's a list of Xbox 360 games that work on Xbox One.
Cheers Buzz. Yeah I get the backward compatible bit (didn’t realise GTA V wasn’t though) but judging by what you’re saying about upgrading to Xbone Burnout Paradise I think you’ve answered my question but I’ll ask again just to be sure

if a game is both backwards compatible BUT also has it’s own Xbox one disc / DL version. The BC version won’t be upscaled etc to look as good as the standalone Xbox one version. Correct? So if it was a game I was crazy about I should still buy the Xbox one version as that will be better GFX etc. It seems such a simple and obvious question and answer but I’ve not read a coherent answer from any of the support pages (or I’m too thick to understand it

Some backwards compatible titles have received enhancements to make them run more smoothly and improve the visuals on the Xbox One. However, the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise isn't one of them. You would have to buy the remastered (Xbox One) version to get the improvements.

Also worth nothing that the online servers are closed for the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise, but are still online for the Xbox One version. Hope that helps!
Thank you! I’ve been assuming all along that Xbone versions of the same game will be always be better than the back cat 360 versions and there’s very few I could be bothered rebuying but will certainly get the cheap digital version of this. And I’ll wait until GTA V does the £12.49 offer it frequently does (if it’s not currently that price!)

the various price points, gold version, enhanced versions etc twist my melon utterly. Also dying for a decentish Fifa 20 price too now.
