also X360 ver too!!! thnks! i really need to get round to playing GOW2 a bit more!

I'm looking for a cheap copy of the initial version. PS3...would hope to pay about a tenner.

It was that price in Sainsburys around the start of the year but you'd be lucky to find one now. It's a clearance game in PC World and therefore possibly Currys so you could try there.

I'm not interested in the Party Pack (that comes pre-bundled with the Ultimate Edition), so I bought a brand new copy of the original Burnout Paradise (PS3) on ebay for £15.

Voted hot though, as the is easily the cheapest price for the Ultimate Edition.

Thanks, I will keep a lookout although I have so many games still to play (from the pre-xmas price knockdowns) that I'm in no rush.

I just bought the original version off Feebay for £11. Is it just the party pack that is extra in this version ? Everything else is a free download anyway ?

Anyone know if big surf island is worthwhile dlc

This was £20.44 yesterday, as the Hut checkout was deducting an extra £2 for some reason...........(I did post this in the Hut voucher thread)

can use Quidco as well? (5% off)

Are the achievements different in this version?

cool price

To answer a few questions:

The ultimate box is just the normal game with the 1.6 update applied and the party pack DLC included for free.

It can use existing saves (at least the 360 one can) and has the same achievements (although you can get the 2 party pack ones without having to pay for the party pack of course).

1.6 was everything up to and including: bikes, day and night cycle, extra challenges and freeburn timed challenges, a few new online modes and all the earlier bug fixes...

It was worth buying this to save the 800MB of HDD space used by 1.6 on the 360... until they released 1.7 which is needed even with this.. and takes.. 800MB LOL.. they did a full 1.7 and not an incremental.. screwing over the ultimate box upgraders in the process.

So the only benefit is the party pack included.. its a better buy in every way to get the original game, download the free patches and buy the party pack.. ultimate box is an absolute waste of time and money.

It doesnt include legendary cars.. (which are in 1.7 update and purchasable seperate - but are rubbish as i found out after buying them all)

Also Big surf island isnt out yet but will definitly be worth it..

So whilst this isnt a bad deal if you dont have the game and are gonna pay roughly the same for the standard version its a rubbish one if you do or can get the standard one cheap!

well thanks for the info.

Unless of course you dont have online which means its the only way to get the updates

My game of the year by far and the best supported game ever on console.
