so is it 2 channels or 2.1

Can't really argue for this price, it's going to be way better than your telly speakers

No separate sub so if say 2ch. Not bad for £20 I pay more than that for a Friday chippy.

Morning @Ross81

Ordered. Thanks.

Cheers O.P. just ordered.

Too weak for the living room, but for a bedroom telly you can't be robbed.

I bought a soundbar a while back and took it back to Tesco. Something which I never thought of is that I had to set it in front of my tv but it blocked the remote. So if you're buying one, better with one that has an IR extender.

It has a built in subwoofer, but don't expect miracles. Having said that, other soundbars with built in subwoofers retail at £ 45.00. Maybe good for someone's spare tv somewhere that has awful tinny sound.

Seems decent for a spare room does it come with a optical cable?

I’m looking for a sound bar for my 50inch tv in living room, what should I be looking for?

Just read that sorry was being lazy! Seems decent then anything better than regular TV speakers.

Anyone know what the cheapest thing on Argos is off hand or an easy way to find silly cheap items on their website? With this and another thing I want, I have an order of £49.98 to place but Voucher Codes are giving a £15 voucher for over £50 spend right now so need to push it up a few pence.

Or if they have any cheap chocolate or things like they sometimes have for a quid? And yes I have tried searching using the Argos search for 'chocolate' and 'peanut' (thinking maybe the M&M pouches or boxes).

What’s the voucher code?

What’s the voucher code?

It isn't a voucher code, it is a voucher from Voucher Codes, a £15 voucher back for spending £50 after clicking through from their site: vouchercodes.co.uk/arg…627

Valid question actually. Might be good if someone who bought it can confirm.

No reviews, if anyone gets one and can comment on sound quality via Bluetooth that’d be helpful.

(sorry I know not to expect much for the cash but just in case it’s dreadful).

Just plugged mine in - came with just optic cable - not much bass (via bt) but seems decent enough for £20

Please note you can get the same item from Argos on Ebay and as there is 10% off selected soundbars at the minute on there (including this one) it's £17.99 on there (assuming you're picking up from store, the same as the OP).
Just ordered one.

OP you may want to change your deal!

(also 5% Quidco cashback today on ebay)

Damn, I went for 1.05% TopCashback and £3 bonus twenty minutes ago... £3.40 Quidco cashback or £3.19 TCB, I guess 21p is bugger all really, either way it is sub £15 with cashback.

Drat forgot the Quidco bonus thing. Never mind. Someone kindly gave me a £5 voucher for Argos so for £15 seemed worth a punt.

Thanks Spider91 and tuckeral, bought from the bay of e. Saves me buying a new TV.

Purchased one, for the money it’s well worth it and sounds better than the tv speakers, obviously don’t expect a cinema experience. Also worth noting, wouldn’t play sound from HD channels when hooked up to the sky hd box so had to link the soundbar directly to the tv

Just got one, but it's going straight back as for some reason it defaults to Bluetooth input (instead of Aux or Optical) which is useless as it means I'll have to faff with the remote to change inputs.

There doesn't seem to be a way to change the default input on it.

The whole point of a soundbar is to be seamless, and I don't want to be faffing with extra remotes.

Picked mine up yesterday, no bass whatsoever but for £15 it'll do fine as a bluetooth speaker. Sorry techno12 I think your shortcoming with the product is my gain.

It only defaults to Bluetooth if you unplug it rather than using standby to switch it off.

Thanks for the review Bossworld, saved me the hassle. I'll stick with my plan for speakers/sub I think. Cheers OP all the same. Looks a good deal for a marginal upgrade to TV, bedroom perhaps..
