252 reviews average is 3.8/5 which considering most people bought this at a much higher price isn't bad
Sorry OP but Bush are awful.

So how much do we pay for that model then?
i actually have one of these in the bedroom (never had a problem with it) but with freeview its hard to find anything actually worthwhile recording though!
I would stay well clear of these, had one last year and ended put putting the hard drive in my laptop and dumping the rest. The Tesco Dion branded recorder is more reliable than this from experience.
Hope it's better than the Bush DVB680, cos that was the worst £100 I've ever spent.

Every time a Bus or Taxi drives past the picture breaks up whilst watching a HD Channel. SD channels are unaffected, so I'm assuming the picture screwing up is due to external electrical interference rather than signal issues?

Yeah, yeah, everyone has seen it
Bush, cold. Bush refurbished, COLD.
steer clear of these vestel units. Ive had 3 and all went kaput in less than 12 months. Fortunately i kept my receipt on 2 occassions. Lost the third .
Hey, if you want a budget brilliant HD freeview box that can record and play online content, take a look at the Humax HD Fox T2. Had mine 2 years and ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT . Faultless and great quality. I caan even stream my PC videos to it as it supports DNLa. The HD quality is fantastic. Dont waste your money on smelly noisy vestel units when for a few quid more you can get good quality. m.richersounds.com/sho…tml

I know
On top of that their customer service is dire COLD
Granted a Bush, Technika etc recorder will be no match for a Humax but it's a fraction of the cost!

As a second unit for £36 you can record 155hours of TV for buttons.

You can pause live tv

Record two things at once and even have Picture in picture.

No it's not the best TV recorder in the world but 252 user reviews averaging 3.8 out of 5 suggest it's more than useable
In other words, it's useless and does a half arsed job. Maybe it's a bloke? Oh, wait, can't give electrical appliances a gender. Sorry.
Am I missing something here? Surely this one is a better deal:

Terrible terrible box. Have had a refurb of one of these, so full of bugs so as to be unusable. No amount of refurbishing can fix useless software that hasn't, and won't be, updated. It did explain why our Argos clearance warehouse had hundreds of these refurbs in though (and got just as many returned)

humaxdirect.co.uk/prodCat.asp?cat=factory £69 direct from humax.

If we're playing this game surely the twin tuner with 160GB for £20 more is the better option..?
would be ok for a kids bedroom I suppose. but only if you didn't like the child very much.

Can confirm the 500gb models are fitted with a "standard" 2.5inch drive, typically a Hitachi Cinemastar drive.
Worth buyin to ditch the outer then or put small hd back in and sell on
